I was really hoping for a smaller, more tightly focused spot beam setting for automotive work. Such flashlights are out there, but always seem to come with "trick" tail cap switches that drive me crazy. This is just a simple full on/full off switch, which is what I wanted. The spot beam is decent. The head is fairly small and fits into tight spaces. So despite not being overjoyed with the flashlight, I don't see anything better that meets my needs.

Item was as described by supplier. Appears to be well made. This fit like a glove and once installed look as if it was factory fitted. Red dot has a decent distance for view however, the light is weak at only 100 lumus. Other units of similar size I have came with 500 and 1200 lumus.

I love the double clutch switch. It has been hard to find a headlamp that does not use a push button scrolling switch. their innovation is a triumph; accessing four well arranged light modes with intuitive ease. i've had the light for over three years end it developed a small mechanical problem that I assumed was out of warranty. I called the company to see if they could tell me give me some tips on fixing it and I spoke to a nice person who cared about the product who told me to send it in so they could fix it. They seem to make products they intend to work well and last a long time. I will continue to buy from Streamlight.

(TLDR: IMO low cost, multifunction headlamp, with questionable quality.) First off, I wanted to say that I love Streamlight. I have a pen light that I used as an auto technician for the past 10 years and a Stinger Ds2 for the past 8 years. You could say I'm a fan of streamlight. After saying all that, this product is not the quality of craftsman that streamlight usually has. I've had this headlamp for around 10 months. You better stock up on AAA batteries because it practically eats them. The main issue I have is that of craftsmanship. The tilting function bracket broke about a month ago. I took it out of my tool box one day, and it just fell apart. I take care of my things, so I was suprised this happened. I'm also disappointed in the warranty process, I can't seem reach anyone. In my opinion, if you want a low cost, multifunction headlamp, with questionable quality and warranty, This is the one for you.
