This is probably my 5th Streamlight headlamp. I use them a lot during the winter months to work outside after the sun goes down. I've always loved the lights because they were well made and very bright. But feeding them with Lithium batteries was always very expensive. So I would conserve its use and uses the dimmer light settings to extend the battery life.
But this light however is rechargeable. I just plug the USB cable into it after the days work and it is ready to use the next morning. I now am able to leave it on the high lumen setting all the time with out it costing me a fortune. The light is very bright and I do like the diffuse filter. My only complaint is that it sometimes gets knocked off by accident. I think I would have preferred to have it built into the light housing. But overall I'm very pleased.

It's friggin bright! I read in another review that someone said that it's claim of 2000 lumens was off because it was the same as their 500 lumen smaller light. I don't know if they have a defective one or are mistaken but I have two Streamlight tac lights, one is a 500 and non-rechargeable and the other is this. I'm telling you it's damn well seems like it is 4 times as bright. The only downside and this is a Streamlight issue but all decent rechargeable lights issue is that it takes a while to recharge.

My last streamlight lasted close to 20 years. This one seems just as solid and the charging bracket was upgraded. I expect a long duty life for this light.

This is the second stream like I have bought for a handgun the number TLR1 and 7 work hard for me and always work 💯. I can’t believe how long the batteries last and how bright they are

This is an outstanding product. As mentioned, the angle is not exactly 90 degrees and when mounted as directed, the light beam shines slightly to one side. However, it fits under the take down nut in reversed position and has not loosened or shifted since I installed it two months ago. When installed reversed, the beam converges correctly onto the target and the flashlight is moved forward allowing more room for the hand upon the foregrip slide. I used an offset mount that raised the light directly inline with the barrel and surprisingly, the beam illuminated the bead sight on my ten year old, unmodified 870 Express. I agree that a shotgun is a point-aim weapon, but at night, and firing slugs at a distance, it's nice to have a front sight to help take down a feral hog or two.. .
