.After around 100rds .223 It cuts off. And has to be turned back on. This happens A few times per magazine. Not acceptable at all for what it’s to be used for.

Not sure why this had a bad review its wicked nice Mine has the green laser function and strobe mode.
I own many other great versions of streamlights and a few very very expensive surefires and this thing is hands down my new favorite. I used to love the trl2 with the laser but this is way better.

I have purchased Streamlight products in the past and I have had great results. I have the TLR-8 laser/light combo on my G19 Glock. I ordered the RM-2 laser/light combo because I was so happy with the TLR-8. Unfortunately, I have already returned the unit.
I was anxious to install this on my rifle so as soon as I came home from work, I opened it up and checked out the instructions. As I was checking out the light, I was unable to operate the laser feature. On my TLR 8, you hold one switch while clicking the other to toggle between modes. The RM-2 only has one switch so that doesn’t work. In the instructions, it shows a lever on one side of the unit that selects light or laser functions. My unit does not have that lever. The package clearly says it has a laser feature so I don’t know what gives. It appears to be brand new and still has the warning stickers in tact on the unit itself.
I read online that there are fake Streamlight products floating around the internet so maybe this is a counterfeit unit? I have returned the unit and I am going to purchase directly from Streamlight. Very frustrating.

Sent older version than the one depicted , appears to be used . The newer versions have two screws for the rail not one like the older version.

Bought two of these.
On both of them the windage screws stripped out right away.
Checked forums online and found that it is a common problem.
I did not save the packaging so now I have to send to the factory for repair/replacement.
Save the packaging just in case.

I love the design of this laser light combo and the components of the kit, however, the latest versions now come with hex head button screws instead of quick screws like the first one released. These new button head hex screws are of super poor quality metal that strip far too easily. Just be very careful when installing, and don’t remove it very often and it should be fine. Would give five stars if the material was higher quality. Otherwise solid 4 out of five, especially the powerful green laser variant.
