   This is an outstanding product. As mentioned, the angle is not exactly 90 degrees and when mounted as directed, the light beam shines slightly to one side. However, it fits under the take down nut in reversed position and has not loosened or shifted since I installed it two months ago. When installed reversed, the beam converges correctly onto the target and the flashlight is moved forward allowing more room for the hand upon the foregrip slide. I used an offset mount that raised the light directly inline with the barrel and surprisingly, the beam illuminated the bead sight on my ten year old, unmodified 870 Express. I agree that a shotgun is a point-aim weapon, but at night, and firing slugs at a distance, it’s nice to have a front sight to help take down a feral hog or two.. .

   Quick and simple to attach and it seems very sturdy. It can’t slip under recoil like the rail attachments that clamp to the barrel or mag tube. This is a great alternative if you don’t want to clamp to your barrel and don’t have a mag tube extension. Flashlight beam is accurately aimed.

   I gambled on this fitting my Mossberg 590 A1. I was surprised when it slid right on to the magazine tube; it was a little snug with the heavier barrel but a minor tweak with some emery cloth, it fit on like it was made for it.
   I doubt it’s as durable as another product here but at 1/3 of the price and readlily available, I’ll take it.

   Put it on a Mossberg 930 Home Security 12g-semi w/Nordic mag extension. Works better than expected. I was not sure if I would like how it sticks out a bit from side of gun but it puts the switch in a good spot for me. I was planning to install the mount backward so the light would be more forward but this mount has a crown pattern (lugs or humps) on the ring so it really needs to go on the way pictured. So far I have not missed a single zombie or swamp creature during night encounters!

   I highly recommend this Mount. I’ve tried other stupid gimmicks that clamp on the barrel and what not and they are always a problem. This Mount though is a game changer! I’ve mounted it to one of my shotguns with a streamlight HLX pro 1000 and it has held perfectly even after firing lots of heavy slugs and buckshot. It’s a very sturdy Mount too that doesn’t move around or bend easily. This is the best light Mount for a shotgun I’ve ever come across.

   Decent mount, but not as rigid as I expected, plastic rail is held on with rivets. Does the job, but was expecting higher quality from a Streamlight product.

   Works as advertised. I was worried about slipping, but once I secured the rail with a good hard turn of the magazine cap it has stayed snug throughout jostling and one round of shooting. Rail is a good size and the profile works well with the forend on my 870. I like the ability to mount it at 3:00, 6:00, or 9:00. I shoot lefty, so I mounted it right side One minor issue is that the corners are quite sharp, and I’ve scratched myself on the hand twice handling the gun. If it keeps happening I’ll file them a bit round.

    If you have an 870 this will work great if you have a mossberg 500 keep looking. I have used thEse on 870 they work great I feel they should take mossberg off the product list they had to know it wouldn’t fit it isn’t even close

    Basically just a piece of stamped steel with a poly rail section riveted on. Doesn’t feel flimsy but it isn’t totally rigid. Maybe that means it’s tougher and won’t snap. Not as nice as an aim sports mount I have but not sure how it compares to gg&g which is of the same design.

    It’s pretty much universal despite being listed specifically for Remington. It fit my H&K Fabarm FP6 very well (see pictures) with adequate clearance for the pump action.

    I was worried that this wouldn’t be strong enough because of the L shaped profile, but I was wrong. It’s tough. It would be very difficult to bend on purpose, much less on accident. I use it in combination with a Mission First Tactical Torch Back Up Light and it’s a great combination that adds very little weight and takes up very little room for the great degree of functionality it adds. Best lighting mount for an 870 that I personally have used. Could also bear the stress of a sling mount with no problems.
