Good ‘power off’ backup light. However be aware you cannot change between low and high beam by a switch. You have to take the head apart. Returned.

This unit replaced an older model that we had for almost 30 years. We bought this as an emergency power failure light and works great. Recently had a 7 hour power outage and the light was just as bright at the end of the 7 hours as at the beginning.

This light is very powerful. It throws a bright wide beam and really lights up the area.

Very rugged design and excellent brightness. My only complaint is that to switch from high to low brightness requires removing the back plate from the lamp and switching a jumper wire. The other thing to note is that it does not come with a dc charging cable as stated in the listing, only the strap and hard-wire charging rack (the battery is pre-installed).

I have the same Streamlight, but it must be 15+ years old, replaced the rechargeable batteries twice, still the original bulb, and now needs another $20.00 battery. I decided to benefit from the LED lighting and replace the unit completely. It was a good move. The light is nothing short of outstanding! Highly recommended product. Streamlight is professional quality equipment.

i have used the fire service version of these lights for years. they are well made durable <almost indestructable> and frankly are some of the best lights made. when i found this on sale i jumped as fast as i could.
i was not aware these came in an emergency light version as well. that feature is fantastic. i mounted this in my storm shelter and when it loses AC power it turns on. then off when power returns. I also have the flood light standard version in my truck for FD use. i mounted placed this one in the truck mount and was worried turning off the truck would activate the light. It doesn’t. the light seems to know the difference in the DC power cord for the vehicle and the ac wall wart. only lose of power to the ac cable will activate the light.
