The light is really bright I give it that but it doesn’t fit it will not stay on the gun and it needs to be metal not plastic and the Allen wrench that came with it is stripped out we trying to get it to fit

Read list of 1911 applications carefully. Subtle differences in trigger guard shape determines if it will fit or not. Unit halves must be separated (open battery door) to install. After that it’s easy peazy. Guard finger clearance is good for me. VERY happy with purchase. It saves a butt load over a new rail gun!

This was so easy to install on my Colt Defender. It took about 5 minutes and is perfect for my bedside home defense needs. One touch of the button and the room lights up. It’s not real bright but you can definitely light up a target in a dark room with it. That’s all I needed.

Another product that I so wanted to work with my .45. But the thickness around the trigger guard on these brand pistols pushes this light out of position with the trigger guard. Could you shave some plastic off the light. Possibly. But it wouldn’t be in one spot and it would not be a quick fix. Also it might not fit tightly if you do it wrong. Not something I wanted to “play with” at this price.
The light, is definitely not a duty light. You aren’t hog hunting with it but thats not what its meant for. It will light up the room or hallway you are clearing. And it won’t blind you when you turn it on and it reflects off a light colored wall. Trust me, thats a good thing when you just wake up in the dark and your eyes aren’t ready for 500 or a 1000 lumens instantly. You really don’t want to disorient yourself with a loaded gun in your hand.
Easy to turn on and off, batteries can be changed while its on the gun. No dismount or disassembly needed. All good….if it fits.
