   The switch never has worked correctly. It turns on while I’m holding it then off when I let it go. Then sometimes it works for a minute but then doesn’t work the next time. Very frustrating!

   I work as an aircraft mechanic and this headlamp is one of my favorite tools that I have. Sure, it might be heavy, but it lasts multiple days on the lowest brightness setting, which is all you need for working in the gear bay of an airplane or other enclosed space. While other mechanics have to swap batteries or charge their headlamps, I can keep working while being able to see what I’m doing all day with no problem. And when you need a really bright light, this headlamp can deliver there too.

   I loved this thing so much i bought protac 2.0. Unfortunately streamlight doesnt make a charger dock for this head lamp and it really makes me sad, cuz i also use it after work in the winter hours to walk my dog chop fire wood and work around the house. I really wish there was a battery dock for strion style batteries.

   I like the Streamlight brand. I own many. This headlamp is nice. Great quality. I like the one tap on/off and the diffuser. However, I wanted a light that was brighter or at least as bright than my Streamlight 88052 HL. It is not. The pic shows freshly charged lights. The Streamlight 88052 HL is on the right, the 61307 HL is on the left without the diffuser. No other light in the room. The 88052 is rated at 850 lumens and is much brighter than this 61307 HL rated at 1000 lumens. Both are HL lenses. I am disappointed. Will I send it back? Not sure. It’s a nice light. Good quality.

   The Longevity of the battery charge It’s good when you need the super high lumins. It is there for you if not then put it on the medium setting for the longest run time. With maximum output. This is my go to headlamp in the only one I have had for over ten years now, I bought a second one cause I got tired. Of going to get it when I needed it. Now I have it in multiple places.

   This is probably my 5th Streamlight headlamp. I use them a lot during the winter months to work outside after the sun goes down. I’ve always loved the lights because they were well made and very bright. But feeding them with Lithium batteries was always very expensive. So I would conserve its use and uses the dimmer light settings to extend the battery life.
   But this light however is rechargeable. I just plug the USB cable into it after the days work and it is ready to use the next morning. I now am able to leave it on the high lumen setting all the time with out it costing me a fortune. The light is very bright and I do like the diffuse filter. My only complaint is that it sometimes gets knocked off by accident. I think I would have preferred to have it built into the light housing. But overall I’m very pleased.

   I use this light for inspection purposes and it is plenty bright in the attic and substructure areas. The fit is good but it is a little on the heavy side in comparison to past Streamlight headlamps. However, having a rechargeable battery is certainly worth the trade off. I can’t imagine inspecting without this headlamp. Love this light.

    Not easy to switch brightness settings but for my appication…..I was more interested in a one switch on and off style. Toggling through 5 to 7 different light settings is what I was not looking for. This product offers the one click on….one click off.

    So far so great! I purchased this for an upcoming expedition after realizing my previous headlamp was broke. I searched several different brands before deciding to go with this one. The features that lead me to choose this one were few, 1 it is rechargeable, 2 it is streamlight. I have previous experience with streamlight and have yet to be left disappointed. I wear glasses like many others and this does not have a glare effect when worn without a hat like others I have used. It is a bit on the heavy side when compared to previous lights I have had however that is justified by its quality. Oh yeah, its BRIGHT!
    My previous experience with streamlight is a pocket sized flashlight that I carry almost every day. I once lost it for close to a month. It had been in my yard and experienced freezing temperatures, snow and rain. When found it worked, still works to this day.

    After a successful midnight winter summit of Mt. Washington, my friend and I began our descent. With no warning, the sustained ~45 mph winds suddenly turned into ~70-80 mph sustained, with occasional higher gusts at the leading edge of an incoming storm front. The temp was somewhere around -20º with wind chill. We were prepared and perfectly warm, but we were being knocked around by the wind quite a bit. In an effort to evacuate the frozen, wind-swept, and highly exposed mountain face, we quickly began our decent down the Tuckerman Ravine trail…except we wanted to be on Lion’s Head trail. We realized our mistake when we found ourselves ledged-up with sheer cliffs in front of us. We had no climbing rope, only crampons and ice axes. I knew we had to go back up the way we came and we’d bisect the trail we wanted. It was at that moment that I realized why people die every year on this mountain. With the ferocious winds now at our backs, I turned the headlamp on it’s 1000lm brightness setting and it illuminated everything up to about 300 meters away and I was able to spot our correct location and make it there. Needless to say, we survived, but having this headlamp certainly made the difference. I otherwise ran it on the lowest setting for the entirety of our climb and it was far more than sufficient. Everything, including the battery life of this light is beyond sufficient for anything you could possibly need it for I’ll never use another headlamp again (except for a future upgrade of this one). I have been a fan of Streamlight’s wide variety of products since my days as a first responder in the late 90s-early 2000s. This is the third Streamlight headlamp I have owned and it overachieves in every category. Buying this light is a no-brainer. Just a tip: buy an extra battery so one is always charged. Maximum performance is achieved with this light’s proprietary battery, though it will also run on 1x 18650 battery.
