   flashlight starts getting dim before dying. per some other reviews I didn’t expect that. I loved the 2nd button. the diameter felt a little “small” but still pretty good feel. battery lasted longer than rated, except I have no way to measure output, which they consider in the rating. I couldn’t tell it dimmed for long after the rated duration, though. my only complaint will be a plus for many: the ten-tap programming didn’t have an option for low first. that what I had on another Streamlight so I expected it here, though in hindsight, I see they do state correctly how it works in the description. that’s my fault. but odd Streamlight has different modes on different models. I guess ideally I’d like to see a 4th option on every flashlight so they all could do it either way. it did let me totally disable the strobe, which I expected.

   of 3 models I tried, I liked this one the best except I want that low-first option, so I returned it and got my 2nd choice that doesn’t have a 2nd button.

   I have used an original Strion that I modified to led at work daily for 15+ years. When the switch assembly failed and it stopped working a few months ago, I ordered this Strion DS HL. It’s much brighter, a little longer , about the same weight and just as tough.
   So far in the last few months it’s been dropped more than once on grass, blacktop and concrete without it skipping a beat. It’s been caked in mud and fallen in mud puddles. It still works like the day I got it.
   I managed to get my original fixed free under the lifetime warranty so I now have both. I’m still using the DS HL as my daily without any concerns.
   The only negative I can say is that the battery doesn’t last as long between charging but that could be due to being much brighter. Also finding a holster to fit it properly was not so easy. It’s worth the money to have a quality flashlight that lasts for many years.

   My last stinger lasted 12 years. These stripes used to be a little less durable but in recent years, they seem to be built with the same durability as the Stinger line and I love this one for work when I’m not in the mood for the weight of the Stinger. In my opinion, no other brand I’ve tried measures up. No replacing batteries every week was what got me on it, and I’ve never looked back. Oh did I mention it works under water? At least 30 feet when I dropped one in the ocean. The fish see much better in that area now.

   I bought this as a replacement for my lost/missing one. Identical flashlight. This one maybe even brighter than my old one. It came with the flashlight and the battery in a stream light box. It gets really warm on the high brightness. It is so bright you can see the light on a clear sunny day!!! Battery will last about what is depicted. High brightness last a couple hours, medium is more and low is even longer.

   Super bright. I Like the multi dimmer program but the battery requires frequent charging based on my personal use at work, which means I don’t have it when I need it. I have the original Strion from 15 years ago, this is by far brighter but with that come battery consumption.

    If you are looking for a bright and reliable flashlight, this is definitely an option. Please note that this light is extremely bright and the battery life is not great since it is so powerful.
    This light is great for people who need a pocket sized flashlight that is extremely bright who need the light in short uses, like a few minutes at a time.
    My industry runs 24/7 and this light is great for using it to fill out forms at night, shine it on tools to see what we are grabbing, etc.

    I just got it delivered today. My first impression was that this thing is sturdy! I don’t think it will break down in a month or so, which had happened with another cheaper product and that was the reason I went for this one which is three times more expensive. At this point I can say it is very well designed at the least. I think I have got something worthy.

    I love the luminosity, it’s super bright even under a day light I can see how bright it is.

    I did a silly thing and did not realized this one was “without charger”, mostly because I did not even think it could come in without a charger, I still think it could be highlighted a bit better. Especially when the battery is not a normal d-cell ones that you can just buy at any store.

    Overall, I like the flashlight so far.
