   As a firefighter, I carried a Streamlight into hundreds of fires. They were 100% dependable. When I needed a spotlight for our “camp”, this was the one. It arrives three days after I ordered it, I loaded it with 4 C cell batteries, and was ready to go. Early this morning I got my chance; my little dog wanted out for her early morning visit to the grass. Now look at the picture. You will see a tug boat. It’s almost 1,000 feet away. I lit one just like it up last night with a good beam of light. This light has three settings, low, high and strobe. I also bought the optional red lens. It also came with a 12 volt plug for the car. Our pond contains alligators in the summer time. I will use this spotlight to keep track of them after dark. I’m a happy camper.

   I have now had this spotlight for 6 years and it’s my go-to when I need a light for outdoors activities. I have taken it in several different environments and it always delivers very bright light at a very long range. Well over 100 yards of clear visibility. Battery life is also great! Once a year I change the batteries and that’s even with my two kids playing with it. Very durable. Dropped and thrown many times. Submerged in water a few times and still works with no water intrusion. Definitely recommend this light.

   I had oringinally bought this to use for nighttime trips out on my boat. It arrived, added batteries and ops checked good. Placed it in my boat storage bag in the console. Went to use it a month later while out on the water after sunset and it appears to have be obliterated. It’s a stretch to call this thing durable and I definitely wouldn’t count on it unless you plan to keep it in bubble wrap.

   Light weight, seems durable; certainly makes a lot of light. The key on the lanyard for opening or closing the battery compartment is perfect. My only complaint would be that it dims very quickly with alkeline batteries; if you use rechargable lithium C cells it seems to keep it’s brightness; but the battery life will be about 1/3rd the total time.

   Perfect for use on a boat where you’re not keeping it turned on for very long at a time.
