   Just showed up, missing the arc rail adapter. It has the velcro piece though, was looking forward to using it however. Nice light, but a shame it didn’t show up with all the required parts.

   The light works great and does exactly what I need it to do. I was disappointed when I received my order because many of the pictures used in this listing show the helmet Velcro attachment. To be clear that is not included with this package. The picture on this review is what arrives. If you are looking specifically for the helmet mount patch panel, keep looking or buy it separately.

   Simple to use product that is very straight forward. Tested the white and red light thus far and they work really well. Currently have this mounted to my helmet via the velcro and have not hand too many issues with it coming loose (only once during training). Other than that, this is a good tool, especially for the price

   Mounted the Stalk on my Team Wendy Exfil bump helmet using the TW PrincetonTec adapter, currently just friction fit, but it is reasonably solid. I’ll figure out a way to secure it better or tether it. Ambient light test conditions: 1.4% Waxing Crescent, new moon was yesterday, very little cloud cover. Definitely more of an admin type light, throw isn’t that great but flood is solid, on the white or IR high power you can reasonably see about 20ft in front. So IMO this is perfect for what I wanted. Pros: excellent bang for buck, 2 types of batteries, aim-able head, controls are easy to remember, IR strobe beacon is a nice touch for someone that is rarely going to use it and doesn’t want to bother spending money on one. Cons: not much throw, only one color available

   Very happy with this light and its multiple functions. Looks cool, which is half the fight but actually works great. It’s a little pricey, but good gear ain’t cheap and cheap gear ain’t good. Marine approved.

   It is easy to operate, multi color lamp: white, red and blue (my favorite colors) in high and low brightness. The IR light is very low, I will need to buy another IR light, but it does the job I like it and it looks cool.

    It’s great in a zero light environment. But it’s not bright enough in medium to low light environments. The IR IFF beacon works great. The IR illuminator is about the same brightness as on the PVS-14. The switch is very intuitive. The flexible boom on the light is a game changer. It allows you to keep your light signature localized while performing tasks. I really like the high, medium, low option. I don’t think that the blue light option is bright enough to follow a blood trail though.

    This is a big miss by Streamlight. Bought it because I trust Streamlight and wanted to mount it to the ops core arc rail. It’s LOOSE and wobbles all over the place.

    It fits snug in the velcro adapter plate but I can’t imagine how the arc rail adapter made it out of quality control.

    Probably going to return this since I really didn’t want a velcro task light.

    I bought this to replace my x2AA Sidewinder, but decided to keep both. The Stalk is better for use with night operations since it has a built in IR strobe identifier, but it lacks the spotlight throw distance of the original. The light on the Stalk is much more diffused, which I think is better for navigating or simply lighting up a room. It easily lit up a 2 car garage with almost no dark corners like a floodlight. Whereas the original has a confined beam, but with an additional brightness setting (4 vs the Stalk’s 3). If you can only get one the Stalk would do you better being more versatile, but if you’re looking for something more like a typical flashlight that shines over distance then go with the OG.
