If you are the lucky few who get to wear load bearing vests (LBVs) at work/play, then this is what you want. It takes up two rows of my Molle panels and the holster installed is very secure. It allows for easily removing/replacing your flashlight while you work. I have the Strion HL and this fits perfectly. Its tight enough where it will easily keep the flashlight in place even when donning/storing my LBV. Great buy and I have finally found a Strion holster that will keep my flashlight in place without the fear of my flashlight or holster falling out. The holster is just long enough to where it covers the Strion adequately and I don’t accidentally hit the tail-cap switch while wearing my LBV.
Just for reference, this replaced several strion holsters before it including: safariland basketweave holster (flashlight was loose and kept falling out when I would take off my duty belt), Nite-Ize taco style stretch flashlight holster (I kept accidentally hitting the tail-cap switch turning on my flashlight), nextorch holster (when placed on a LBV the closing mechanism has issues opening and closing if you have other items next to it like mag holders), and some others off I can’t think of.

Fit on the flashlight is great. I do not like how it attaches. This flashlight holder has came off and went flying through the air a few times, during a scuffle. I wish it had a secure slide on a duty belt attachment. I may try super gluing or using a plastic welder to make it a slide on accessory instead of a clip on. I tried to add photos, but it didn’t work.

Bought it for my stream light, works good! It would be nice if it clicked in or had a bit more retention but I’ve yet to have any issues. I have in on my belt. Would also be nice to mount to my vest. I recommend it to all my coworkers !

Works good on an outer carrier, been using it for over a year now!

I love this. The original holders Velcro would stop sticking together. This is great! I was worried about it falling out, but this works great!

This holster is a very good addition to my expensive ($150) Strion LED HL flashlight. The retention is great thanks to the big plastic tension spring inside the holster pushing against the flashlight’s body. The holster itself is beefy and feels a lot like the plastic baton holsters by ASP or Monadnock. It is clear that the designers have built this holster for duty wear, with years of service in mind. It is not too big either, which is perfect in terms of wear comfort.
I had cheaper holsters before (nylon, leather, mirage, etc), but they all ended up breaking at the strap and almost caused the loss of the flashlight on the few occasions. I’d definitely recommend to spend a little more on this rock solid holster to protect your investment.
Streamlight did not disappoint, this holster is just as awesome as the flashlight itself. This is the creme de la creme of duty lights and holsters right here, bar none. This light and its’ powerful flash mode (2 rapid clicks), along with the open carry quick access holster, is an intermediate disorientation weapon all by itself.

This was actually a suggestion that came up when i was buying a flashlight for work. The belt loop/clip clearance is that of your average everyday belt. You don’t have to slide this on before securing your belt it can slide on after. It holds the light very well while sprinting or running. And when you need to use it it doesn’t lift your whole belt when pulling it out. I have had this for a little over a year now and haven’t had any trouble or problems. This was an unexpected purchase for me, but I’m glad I made it.

As a previous review stated, for some models you definitely need to make some modifications, but once you do that it works well.

I was looking for a simple plastic holster like this for smaller handheld flashlights, like 6″ long x 3/4″ body, with 1″ head. So many holsters are designed for 1″ body. This holster, a flashlight like that drops about 1/4″ below the top of the plastic holster, but it works fine. It won’t pass through, and you just pop it up by lifting the bottom of the body and it’s in your hand. Great! If you were crawling it would fall out.
