   This high quality aluminum flashlight is superb in every way. It is definitely worth its very high price. It is small and comfortably fits in even the smallest hands. It is lightweight. It is recharged via USB C so you will never need to buy batteries for it. Each charge lasts a very long time. The on/off switch has a “turbo mode” that is engaged by pushing and holding the on/off switch forward (a natural motion). This high power mode increases the light output from the normal 300 lumens to a whopping 1000 lumens for 35 seconds maximum. The color temperature isn’t specified but it’s in the 6000 degree range which helps illuminate things deep into the darkness. It even has a clip so it can be held easily on a pocket for quick access. I live in a mountainous area in the desert SW and regularly use this flashlight when I go outside at night. I feel secure that this very bright light will ward off the coyotes, wild pigs and other desert critters that own the night here. I have over 10 (small & large) other flashlights around the house but use this one 95% of the time. (My 4 D cell one is used for really long range.). You will love this flashlight and it also is a fantastic gift as well. Kudos to the designers.

   It’s maybe a little silly how excited I am about my new flashlight, but there’s something so pleasingly… sleek yet serious? about it that I can’t help myself. It works as reliably as any other streamlight I’ve owned and has a good, strong beam and good battery life, but there are some small differences that really make this a stand out for me, particularly the shape and the on/off/intensity dial. I LOVE the on/off mechanism. The button on the end of the round ones was fine, though it always eventually wore out, but this is so convenient and natural to use, and it won’t wear out and need replaced. It’s in the perfect position to let my thumb rest there if I’m loosely holding it at my side or have my hand on it in my pocket, and I don’t have to change my grip to turn it on to either the regular setting or the temporary high output one. Easy to hold, easy to use, just all around great. So great, in fact, that it’s made me feel safer going for walks at night. I actually got it because one of my favorite things on my nightly walks is looking for the neighborhood skunks, and while they seem to be either stupid or confident enough not to care about me shining light to see them better, my phone was never bright enough. This is the perfect skunk light—and you can quote me on that—but the convenience of the dial is such that if anyone tried to cause me trouble, I could have 1000 lumens shining in their eyes before they realized I was holding anything. I also just casually push the dial when a car is coming so it makes a nice bright spot on the road and catches their attention if they haven’t seen me yet. I’ve had the usual round streamlight flash/penlights before without issue, but I find this shape more elegant and visually appealing, and the novelty of it makes it feel a little special. It seems like they advertise it as being better for carrying in your pocket, which may well be true, but the pockets I’m carrying it in are neither fancy nor tight enough for it to make a significant difference, though I do think it feels a little more secure. I really do just find this shape so attractive; it’s like in ye olde days, when new iPhone models actually felt different and exciting, and everyone wanted the new one right away. Anyway, this flashlight is great because it’s a great flashlight, and also because it makes me happy and fills the hole in my heart with light ~♡~

   Just what I was looking for. I’m old guy, old school. Like 1911’s w/o rail. I also like to have light available and ready. First thing I did was switch the pocket clip to the left hand carry. In my left jean pocket, it comes out nautrally, and the thumb switch is easy to manipulate. It carries flat in the pocket. It carries deep in the pocket and is unobtrusive. The light’s output in the regular mode is enough illuminates my yard adquately to see anyone or anything that happens to be there.

   I recently grabbed the Streamlight 88810 Wedge 300-Lumen Flashlight for my EDC, and it’s been a fantastic little light! Its slim, flat design slides into my pocket like a dream, barely noticeable alongside my phone, and the deep-carry clip keeps it secure without snagging. The 300-lumen mode is plenty bright for nightly dog walks or rummaging under furniture, and the 1000-lumen THRO mode is a quick press away for when I need to light up something farther out—though I wish it could stay on high without holding the switch. The USB-C charging is super convenient, fully juicing up in about 3 hours, and the sturdy aluminum body feels like it’ll last forever, even with an IPX7 waterproof rating for rainy days. My only gripe is it’s a tad long for smaller pockets, but at around $80 on sale, it’s a solid, reliable flashlight that’s become my go-to for everyday carry—definitely recommend

    I’ve carried this light for approximately a year now. I used it almost every day. Initially I purchased it while working as a jailer, and found it was easy to carry, the two brightness settings helped with not blinding people as I checked doors, or turn up the intensity when needed. Once I moved to patrol I went to night shift, and usually used this for vehicle stops or walking around inside a dark room or residence. The throw isn’t very far. Anything past 10 yards and you’ll need to bump up to a stronger light if you need to see details like hands clearly. It doesn’t do great at cutting through photonic barriers, so when it comes to tinted glass or privacy glass this isn’t your guy. But I find it useful when I’m at a car side trying to read an ID, insurance, or write a citation. It doesn’t blind the person sitting in the car as I stand with the light over them, but if something changes and I need to see in the car quickly I can bump the light to high power. The way it came in the box was set up for a right hand carry. I swapped the clip with so it is on the same side as the switch. This makes it easy to pull out of my left pocket and immediately have my thumb in the right spot. This is think enough to conceal in your hand, but also hold in place while shooting if you don’t have a weapon light on a pistol. Again, the throw isn’t ideal, but it fits in a pinch. I like that the switch has a charging indicator built in. Plug it in, light turns red. Fully charged, light turns green. If you use it for just every day stuff, I can go a week or two without charging it and noticing it dimming. It doesn’t get to dim, but the high power setting goes away. It last me all through one 12 hour shift of pretty regular use, but I just slap it on a charger when I get home in the morning and it’s ready the next night. The only time I’ve seen this light actually drain the battery and die I was on a crime scene and stuck it in a cone turned on to help illuminate the cone so cars could see it. It stayed like that for probably an hour. I had used it prior to that call, and for the rest of the investigation for afew hours, so it lasted quite some time. My biggest gripe is probably that the USB-C port is on top and faces up. I wouldn’t be as concerned about it if had a cover on it. It’s completely exposed to the elements. The coating on the light is great. Down in Texas, the heat and sweat from being in a pocket hasn’t done to much wear to the coating, just on the edges which is to be expected. Even when the light is on for an extended amount of time, it’s not hot. The body can get alittle warm, but never unbearable. For $100ish bucks, it’s definitely worth it’s price. It’s not really designed to be a far out light, instead more of small jobs. If I lost today I’d be ordering another asap. Not only do I recommend to a friend, I’ve given a couple as gifts to friends.

    This review will be posted on both streamlight and o-light product. I purchased both the Streamlight and the O-Light because I couldn’t decide between which one I wanted. I always have a knife and flashlight on my person at all times so I needed it to be comfortable and usable how I want. Personally I like my flashlight to be on the outside on my back left pocket with the knife right next to it as pictured. I wanted something rechargeable, but also multiple brightness function, which I came across both streamlight and o-light. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better online, so I purchased both. Streamlight- I like that it is USB C rechargeable, no matter where I go finding a charger for this will be easy. I like the brightness of both low and turbo mode, however, it seems to scatter the light in the foreground a little too much for my liking. It fits in the hand well, but at the same time is a little too long. I don’t typically carry a flashlight the way it is designed so for me that is a negative, along with how it sticks out of my pocket when on the left side. O-Light- I really like how this flashlight has so many different modes, multiple brightness settings, a laser, and also has a lockout mode to keep it from turning on accidentally in your pocket. The light throw on this flashlight is also good, however scatters a little further out in the foreground then I like also. The size is perfect for a back pocket, as shown in pictures and fits in the hand great. The only negative about this flashlight for me is the magnetic base charger, if I forget to take it with me on a trip, it breaks or i lose it, finding one in a store is probably going to be impossible. 2 great products, and I’m sure depending on the person one will lean either way. I personally like the O-Light better, however will keep the streamlight as a backup. I have had both for a little over a week now to do fair review of each.
