I’m a (now retired) professional firefighter. I used Streamlights in all situations, and have used other brands of lights. Streamlight is the best in my opinion. They cut through smoke, were highly visible to the crew behind me at a fire scene, and throw an extremely long-range beam. We could check power lines a block or two away at night. With the lithium-ion battery they’re very lightweight and easy to charge, and you can also change out the battery yourself when it reaches end-of-life. I bought my own for the job and took them home when I retired, a Vulcan and a Survivor. I still use the Survivor all the time, it clips onto a collar or belt. Some of the best purchases I’ve ever made are my Streamlight flashlights!

Great light ! Super bright and durable . Price is a little crazy but overall it’s a great light. It’s been in multiple fires and hasn’t had any issues . Holds a charge well and battery life seems great .

Doesn’t come with wall charger. Less expensive aftermarket ones don’t fit. Need to get factory charger for another 25.00

I bought one for my sailboat, tested it on a voyage — then 2 more for all crew. It’s pricey but worth it. The only complaint for my use case (night sailing) is that the rear illuminators cannot be turned off. Not an issue overall because the head can be rotated 90 degrees such that they point down & does not ruin your night-adjusted vision while sailing.

Powerful, penetrating beam helps makes light work at most fire conditions. Light enough to hold in your hand or hang on your shoulder all day. The strap that came with mine had hooks on the ends. I thought they all came with the quick release version. I guess only the orange ones do.

At our large office facility, we bought one of these 4 months ago to replace our 22-year old Streamlight Litebox which had a defective battery. This Vulcan is far lighter and much, much brighter.
The thing to note is that it has a spotlight beam and not a floodlight beam.
From their website:
Streamlight warrants the Vulcan to be free of defects for a lifetime of use except for batteries and bulbs, abuse and normal wear…rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches and electronics have a 2 year warranty with proof of purchase.
