   (TLDR: IMO low cost, multifunction headlamp, with questionable quality.) First off, I wanted to say that I love Streamlight. I have a pen light that I used as an auto technician for the past 10 years and a Stinger Ds2 for the past 8 years. You could say I’m a fan of streamlight. After saying all that, this product is not the quality of craftsman that streamlight usually has. I’ve had this headlamp for around 10 months. You better stock up on AAA batteries because it practically eats them. The main issue I have is that of craftsmanship. The tilting function bracket broke about a month ago. I took it out of my tool box one day, and it just fell apart. I take care of my things, so I was suprised this happened. I’m also disappointed in the warranty process, I can’t seem reach anyone. In my opinion, if you want a low cost, multifunction headlamp, with questionable quality and warranty, This is the one for you.

   I’ve had plenty of headlamps over the years but this is my favorite. It’s quite bright and has several very useful modes. It’s also more comfortable than the others I’ve had and includes thoughtful details like a padded area where the light rests on your forehead. It also uses replaceable aaa batteries which I think is better than a rechargeable internal battery that will eventually fall. This is the quality I’ve come to expect from streamlight products.

   Bought this for camping and such after a friend showed me how convenient it is for peeing. Never bought a head lamp before, figured Streamlight was a good company to go with.

   I’m not a fan of the AAA batteries, but better than an integrated battery, and I see how they save on size that way. Unit is lightweight, comfortable to wear, though it didn’t look like it would be, and provides plenty of light. The flood mode is helpful and the red LEDs were… well, I’m not sure what use I’ll have for that, but they were pretty dull in a dark trailer. Might be better at night or while hunting, I suppose, but I’ll probably only use them to look around in my tent for snacks or something.

   Yellow cover snaps right on with no problems. I like the bright color to make it easier to find when I inevitably put it somewhere weird right before I need it. I might actually find it. Maybe. Probably next to my keys.

   I didn’t even open the package because the batteries have exploded inside the package. I like streamlight, but this one is advertised wrong. It says it’s rechargeable and it is not.

    For the price, it’s a very nice head lamp. I also like that its two “white” light options are more wide/flood in nature. This type of lighting is much more useful when working on machinery or detailed tasks. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the headlight did not have separate buttons for the different light options, you have to toggle through the different settings to get your light of choice.

    Sometimes you need to be able to change batteries verses recharge batteries, especially when off grid and far away from power sources for long periods of time. As most headlamps become rechargeable, I appreciate that this one still uses AAA batteries. I also have a bad history of breaking headlamps, from cheap ones to bigger name brands. This one is surviving and hasn’t broken yet. It is also very easy and intuitive to use so I don’t have to memorize dozens of functions or pull out a manual to use it. The low and high settings are spot on. Have used in rain with no ill effects. This is a good piece of kit.

    3 Gripes…. The plastic mount piece that mounts to the headband deteriorates and or breaks, the push button is easily depressed and for a person that keeps it in their pocket you’ll find that the lights been on and the battery is dead…. the strap…….. the Tension strap keeps coming loose and it wants to fall off my head… it works and is cheap you just have these couple of things that frustrate you…
