In my professional restoration shop, each person wears one of these and it is because they score a 5 of 5 star on every level. Light up the job spot, 2 beams, flood or spot, comfortable all during the 8 hour day, and so rugged they last 3-5 years of every day use! We recharge at lunch and never have a blinking light notice of low battery. The oldest one is 10 years old now and still working.

This is exactly what I wanted in a headlamp. The rotary switch vs push buttons is wonderful. It also remembers the last setting and opens to it. Even the low setting is plenty bright. I walk every morning around 0600 and it is still dark. Even the low setting diffused gives out plenty of light for walking. I used this brand as a police officer for many years. Retired now for about 15 years but the quality of their products is still the greatest.

Thought this lamp was a great product… Built Rugged and Heavy Duty for long lasting usage! Not one of those $15 cheap head lamps, this one is made of Heavy Duty thick plastic… I am not sure how I like the recharging battery… but, I can always put the AAA battery in it… the light did a great job for scouting and camping! I really like that it clicks to the dimmer setting first and them double clutch to the brighter setting, if you need it… This lamp has simple settings… click it on and that’s it… I bought this lamp to last for years to come and I think it will do the JOB! I think $42 was a bit much for this product… but if it lasts… I feel it was worth it!

I mostly use this for automotive repair, but it is also served it’s purpose when camping and doing stagehand work. It’s comfortable on the head and has good battery life.
Another excellent feature is the ability to use 3 AAA batteries if the main battery dies. I wish Streamlight carried this over to lights like the Strion.

I like that it can be used with rechargeable or regular batteries. It is comfortable to wear, and adjustable. For about the same price, my Streamlight MicroStream USB is 2-3 times brighter when on the highest setting, and clips on the bill of a cap or visor for similar uses, with high and low settings.
