Was looking for a gold penlight for my work clothes. Found it. Works great with obvious good quality.

I have an obsession with gold, and everything matching.
This was one of the best purchases (as of now) I have made in a while. This is VERY bright, so you will see spots afterwards – especially if you’re hypersensitive, but works great for monitoring PLRs.
Mine came with a black covering which helps with scatter light, and also protects the bulb when I store it in a pin cup.
As of now, I only have two ‘complaints’ 1. This is a little too long for a standard scrub pocket 2. It needs AAAA batteries – uh, what? these can be ordered from streamlightoutlet.com, but I don’t think they’re available at Walmart, etc.

Streamlight has always been a great product. I am an aerospace inspector and this light has been an indispensable tool in my toolbox for years. Saw the gold-colored version for a great price and couldn’t pass it up.

Perfect little subtle light.

You gotta love something this cute. You can hook it on your shirt pocket and walk around at night without tripping over stuff. The only downside is that the switch knob is slick and its grip grooves are circumferential, which doesn’t help. Longitudinal grooves wouldn’t be as aesthetically pleasing, but they’d work a a lot better!

I got this stylus yesterday and have no clue how to use it. I can’t get the light to stay on and to use it as a stylus.

Having been sucked in to buying a ‘cheapo’ penlight (even after reading the more mixed reviews…) and finding out for myself how horribly unreliable it really was, I ended up after the second day by releaving it of it’s batterys, and chucking it in the trash. It wasn’t even worth the hassle of returning it! This Penlight is dead-reliable. It is ‘quality’ through and through. The only criticism that I can muster is that it may be too slim for big fingers. The beam is bright (VERY bright) and the plastic slip-on protective end-cap will ensure that the glass lens will not break when (inevitably) dropped on concrete. I remember back year ago when Snap-On had these (exact?) penlights, and of course sold them for 3X the price. Those Penlights were all black, and when laid down in the shop, or on a vehicle’s fender/engine compartment, they would blend in and ‘disappear’. To help avoid this, I ordered a gold colored one… ;-}

Just ordered my second one of these (lost my first one after using it daily at work for about 3-4 years). It was still on its first set of AAAA batteries and still worked very well. I did feel that the on/off button on the back became a bit more picky, but overall the penlight stood up very well. I was an EMT and now work as an emergency physician and have tried many brands of penlights. Streamlight is by far the best. The brand also makes a ton of different flashlights, headlamps, and other small lights for a variety of applications, and I recently ordered a miniature light that attaches to a key chain. Also, works really well, and has stood up thus far. Don’t pay $80+ dollars for a medical penlight. Get the 65024. It’s a great product.
