   This is a really nice penlight. I volunteer as an usher at theater companies throughout Chicago, and sometimes when trying to read a ticket or find a seat, the house lights are simply too low. When ushering a concert a few months ago, a light was crucial because patrons are more likely to come late, enter and exit throughout the concert than at a play. I borrowed a light from the house manager and this is what he gave me. I took note of it and bought one a few weeks later. First thing I want to note is that the color of the light I got was different from the color in the photo, which was really disappointing, to be honest. I specifically wanted this lighter blue color; instead what showed up as more of a cobalt blue. It’s about 1 3/4″ in diameter and 5 1/4″ long. The top end is where you turn it on by pressing with your thumb. It took a little more pressure than I expected to turn it on, but I think it’s by design and is a good thing as it isn’t likely to turn on automatically. Clicking it on will keep it on indefinitely until you click the button again. Alternatively, if you only need the light briefly (in my case, if I need to see someone’s seat assignment), you can just depress the button slightly, keeping your finger on the button to keep it on. That’s top is also where the clip is. The clip is pretty strong and probably not likely to come off too easily. I clipped it to both a t-shirt and a sweater and it felt secure. Screw off the top and you’ll see the battery compartment, where you can slip in a couple AAA batteries for power. That’s one thing I really like about this product–it doesn’t take five button batteries. That’s going to make it easier for me to remember what to get when the battery dies. Between the top and the body of the light, there’s a little rubber ring that acts almost like a washer. It has a tendency to slip up and get caught in the threads, so make sure that it’s in the right place before you start screwing the top on. The light is a strong, clear bright white light. It floods a good area when you pull the light back. I’m considering purchasing a second one to keep around instead of purchasing a flashlight. With the exception of my disappointment in the color, this is a very good product and should serve you well.

   If you are thinking, “Is $60-$80 too much for a pen light,” I understand. However, this pen light is so incredibly durable and long lasting and bright, it is entirely worth it to dish out the big bucks (their battery lifetime is accurate). Heck, I got one several years ago for Christmas and accidentally lost it under the house when doing some plumbing stuff. I ordered a new one for like $15 more than I originally paid because I couldn’t do without the light, you just get that used to having it on you. If you are an automotive technician, this should be an absolute no brainer.

   2-year review: STILL my #1 EDC flashlight! I wish I could give 10⭐’s out of 5 because I would. From the insane durability to the high quality case and body; to the rechargeable battery to the perfect fit! 👌🏽 This hits every mark I had and some I didn’t even know I needed. I work in a rehabilitation center and regularly get called to search for “contraband” in tight places. This little guy has never failed me. It is so bright I often only need the low setting to get done what needs done. The charge lasts for hours -even on high! Overall I have no complaints. The only slightly negative thing about it, and this is just preference- is the micro USB instead of the USB-C connection. But I bought this over 2 years ago so it may have been updated since. The brightness is 5⭐, weight is perfect and case(body) is durable metal, also 5⭐. The kicker for me is how compact it is for such a great, would, rechargeable EDC flashlight. 10⭐/5👏🏽

   Quick Review: Awesome, lightweight, durable, simple, reliable, cool, functional, and you should buy one now. Long Review: In the past few months I have bought 4 of these flashlights. In the past few years I have started an everyday carry system. I have always heard how useful a flashlight is to have on you at all times but never really got one because I though how useful it was considering I have an iPhone on me at all times. So the more I heard about the idea about carrying a flashlight as well as hearing about this flashlight I became intrigued. I saw this flashlight listed at around $20. Being a college student even this is relatively affordable. There was nothing I heard that made this seem like a bad product with reviews and such being very positive. So I puled the trigger on one. Not to sound cheesy but it really did change my life. I never knew how useful these things could be because they are slightly bigger than a pen with a ton of light being thrown out. Definitely an upgrade from the iPhone. This product is not the best out there but it is close. The only other main competitor (that I know of) is the Four Sevens Preon 2 being about the same size and weight. However it is twice as much being around $44. It has a much brighter light over 100 lumens, even though I have heard reviews say that in reality it is not brighter. Also the Preon 2 has different modes like high, mid, low ,sos and so on. This is definitely something to consider because if you have the extra money I would say go for it. It also looks fantastic and is very streamlined. Also the streamlight protac might be another option too. However, if your like me and want to save a few bucks this is the best option. It is slim, not much bigger than your standard pen, it is very simple, and it is rugged. It is also bright and the battery last longer than that you think. Im sure by now you can figure out that I really like this product however there is one small issue I have with it. That is the finish. I’m sure that the finish is great even compared to the competitors but while I had this in my pocket I noticed that the finished began to wear and wear fast. From the few months that I had it it look already a few years old due to it being beat up. I haven’t used it a ton nor have I abused it. I think the wear was due to the fact I had a leatherman multi-tool in the same pocket so I don’t blame it on the product itself. I was weary about the rubber tail cap getting worn out but I haven’t seen much wear on that plus it is replaceable anyways. Other than that there are really no negative points. So overall for the money I have not seen anything that can beat this product. Also Streamlight has improved this model with a more powerful LED bumping the lumen count to 65 from 48. Not a huge upgrade but it still is better than nothing. Again the light is very powerful even for being only 65 lumens it definitely seems like more. It is a huge improvement over an iPhone or any cell phone camera for that matter, it just doesn’t compare. I am more than happy to spend my money on this product and would do it again in a heartbeat. Since I got my first one I ended up getting another for myself as well as one for each of my parents. They also love theres although, not quite as much as I do. So in my honest opinion, just buy one. I promise it will be worth it. Oh did I mention it came with 2 Energizer batteries? Well played Streamlight, well played… NOTE: The picture is comparing the new light to the old one. As you can see the old one does have a significant amount of wear and scratches but it runs perfectly and I have no problems using it.

    This is one of the best pen type flashlights I’ve ever owned. It’s bright and doesn’t eat up the batteries like most. I’ve had the blue one for over 6 years. I lost the blue one a couple years ago. Then ordered the silver one. After the silver flashlight arrived I found the blue one in my driveway. My truck ran over it and it was sunk down in the gravel and dirt. Took it in cleaned it off and worked fine, didn’t even dent it Missing about two weeks. It’s lightweight and waterproof. What I liked about it is I wear overalls all the time and it fits comfortable in my bib front pocket along with my pocket knife. I always have it with me and has come in handy hundreds of times I don’t leave home without it. As for buying it again, just as soon as I thought the blue one was lost I re bought the silver one. I won’t go anywhere without it. It’s a durable product well worth the money.

    Purchased in Sept. Of 2019 and it has been my e.d.c. pocket light ever since. It has served me as a work light and an emergency light. I work in a pellet mill where fine dust is abundant and I can say I have never had any issues with this light. I have used it at night looking into bins and cyclones checking for product/foreign objects as well as viewing of less lit area’s. The hot spot is very pronounced up close but further away you have a nice wide clean beam of L.E.D. light. It has been an emergency light for a few power outtages and with the lights lightweight pen-light style, it fits easily and comfortably in a pant pocket or a shirt pocket. You will notice it more if it’s in a shirt pocket. I’ve clipped it inside shirt collars before for quick access and under those situations, it did not bother me any and in fact, It worked out very well. Water resistance. To brag on the waterproof seal, yeah, I wash my work clothes and I forgot to remove it the other day from my pants pocket. The light got washed on a normal spin cycle and works fine. Still holds a charge like a champ – it’s just cleaner than it was a week ago! I generally do a pocket dump and everything comes out and how I missed it – well, Fate had it that this review needed a waterproof test so, here it is. For the drop rating, I’ve never dropped it more than 3-4 feet. It has very few scratches and has never broken. The pocket clip and I have had our rounds tho. It pops off easily and I just have to remember when I sit in certain chairs or vehicles to be mindful of that. But when it pops off, it easily pops back in place. They also sell replacement clips just incase you lose or break the 1. The battery life, what can I say, I charge it randomly unless I use it heavily at work. There has been a few nights where it was used constant on for long periods of time, forgive me if I don’t remember, but it does grow dimmer as you near completely draining the battery. . . But I could charge it back up at my desk and for the most of the times, this light holds the charge in my humble opinion, extremely well. After all is said, I would buy this again and I would recommend this light if you needed. It has never let me down and I give it a 4.5 because there’s always room for improvements.     Pun intended! It’s not the brightest stream of light, but it’s small and packs a punch! It functions well, but the button may be difficult to press if you don’t have good finger strength (so not for fragile elderly) THOUGH you can take the top off & make it easy, just doesn’t look good. Doesn’t recharge, has batteries, don’t get a rechargeable one. What are you going to do when it dies and you need light? Buy another flashlight? How are you going to find it when your flashlight is dead? Don’t forget to charge your phone! As versatile as a flashlight can not be, it doesn’t focus the light or anything special, just 1 brightness setting. Heat level? I’ve never had issues with flashlight heat if I’m being entirely honest, but if you put it over your eye it’ll probably burn, so don’t do that! Long story short, it’s great for me & my dad will love it as a Christmas gift to replace his USB rechargeable flashlight that keeps dying! Photo is not as bright as it actually is, but it was pitch dark in the room until I turned it on
