   This is my go to flash light in my pocket. It is very bright for how small it is and has a good battery life. I have dropped it in coolant sever times and have not had any damage to the charging port.

   I have been carrying this flashlight daily for 3 years and have no real complaints with it. It is small and light enough to easily fit in a pocket without getting in the way. The lower brightness setting is ideal for general everyday tasks, and I would consider the high setting plenty bright for a flashlight of this size – you can easily light up an area within ~50yds in front of you. Switching between the 2 brightness levels is also simple and without hassle. I’ve also smacked this light around, resulting in scrapes and dents, but it has held up well. Overall, I think this light is a great value for an general purpose EDC light.

   I SERIOUSLY dislike leaving reviews such as this especially for a product like THIS! I have always sworn by streamlite and will never buy anything else but streamlite but, when my battery dies in such a way that it cannot even recharge itself and it’s only ONE MONTH pass the return deadline I’m not happy. Now I’ve got two choices, buy another, hope it works and send to bogus one back in a dishonest switch-around and take a full on strike against my personal integrity and honesty OR I see how it goes from here by posting my situation as such in order to see what streamlite themselves will do to an ardent customer of their serious quality products and I mean do mean that but just not with this one and I’m certain this situation is to be blamed on streamlite themselves but rather a stocked for too long product and a periodic battery that just wants to not wanna work after hardly 10 hours of use. I love the difference in lumens this light has but it’s a little bulky having it hang from my T shirt or wife beater but great to have in my bag and CERTAINLY useful to have when my other two 250 lumen micro steam lights are either on charge or being toyed with by my kids. I doubt this review will remain 1 star for long because streamlite is just that good and I know it so let’s see if any of those other negative reviews have any merit to them because, I’m not sure.

   Purchased March 22nd, and the battery already won’t take a charge. The return deadline was April 22nd and it died May 17th. I have several different styles of Streamlight’s flashlights that have worked flawlessly for years unfortunately, this one is a bust. Save your money.

   Contacted Streamlight through streamlightoutlet.com’s contact thread they were extremely helpful and sent out a replacement battery. The stand by their product 100% they apologized for the inconvenience.

    Best EDC light on the market, bar none for this price point and size. Rechargable, rugged, good beam and brightness. The clip allows you to clip it to your pants/shorts for carry and then clip to your ball cap for an impromptu headlamp usage. Low beam and high beam lets you customize your light output for the given situation. Perfect gift for husband/BF/dad or for your wife/GF/sister’s purse. Excellent light to have in your center console of your vehicle, one in your junk drawer for everyone to use, one in your pocket. I think I own 5 of these.

    This light is small enough to keep in your pocket and really packs a punch. I like that the button is either on or off without a bunch of extra flashes and such. You pull out the collar around the lens to access the charge port and you can also just replaceable battery which is a big plus. Great light overall.

    I bought this torch for work and camping, after seeing reviews online. It is undoubtedly expensive, but it is far and away the brightest torch for it’s size that I have ever owned. It charges up using a USB cable, which has a handy led indicator to show when it is fully charged. The on/off switch allows for two levels of light, the first press is something like 500 lumens, while the second press gives you 50. If you push the switch and hold it, the light shines until you release it, which is handy. The clip comes with a bit that allows you to place it on the peak of a cap, to act as a head torch, which is surprisingly good. it’s compact size means that I can carry it at work without it being cumbersome, in fact, I hardly notice it is there. The build quality is amazing, it is robust, and will probably last for years.
    Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this torch for all sorts of uses.

    Got this looking for a rechargeable EDC light, and I’m still undecided if I like it for my needs. I was comparing it to a Surefire E2DL 200 lumen (from about 2009-2010) flashlight. Attached are photos from a camera in manual-exposure mode to get identical brightness approximating real life comparing my old Surefire light to this Streamlight aimed at a fence about 120 feet away behind a shed. I compared with the camera zoomed out (to see the whole yard) and zoomed in (to focus on how well the fence is illuminated). Good: -Simple UI, comes on super bright first click every time, off-on again to get dim -microUSB charge port (which is nicely protected by sliding cover) -Decent runtime (~2 hours high) -Wide beam pattern good for up close flood illumination -Internal Lithium Ion battery is actually replaceable, tailcap unscrews to reveal 3.7V 800mAh Li-Ion battery Bad: -Wider beam than I like means shorter throw -To get back to “high” brightness from “low” mode you have to leave it off for a couple seconds -Tail button is not recessed, easy to bump -Unsure if battery is generic or Streamlight specialty (appears to have extra contact at front of light?) -When battery runs out, it just shuts off abruptly (vs some that switch to low). Probably not a big deal if you charge every night after use. Conclusion: This is nice, light, easy to use – but I wish the beam pattern was tighter for long distance use.

    Simple, lite weight, works is what comes to mind. It’s 2024 and they are still using early 2000’s micro USB charging port. Why Streamlight? It makes a great inconvenience to me. Now I have to keep a power cord that is special for it with me at all times. It’s equally compared to cheaper lights that are 1/2 the cost but they at least have USB-C charging port. I feel like I paid more for the name than the light. I will use it until I find what I want then I will replace it as my emergency backup

    This is a great overall light. Small enough for EDC, bright enough for most everything. Easy to charge. Haven’t had much time with it but really like it overall. Purchased during streamlightoutlet.com Prime date for Forty. The lights pictured from top to bottom (purchase date): Surefire Fury – 500 Lumen (November 2013) Streamlight 89000 ProTac 2.0 – 2000 Lumen (July 2024) Streamlight 66320 MacroStream – 500 Lumen (July 2024) Streamlight 66604 MicroStream – 250 Lumen (April 2023) If I were choosing a light between the 3 Streamlight options. MicroStream for EDC, MacroStream for Hiking / Camping, ProTac 2.0 for Home/Property Use (I have acreage, too bright for inside unless for home defense purposes). If I were to start with just one, it would be the MacroLight.

    First things – I love the small size and for its size it’s great, just don’t get excited about that 500 lumen claim, it’s not 500 lumen for long it pretty quickly dives to like 200 according to the package. The spot is so huge it’s almost not a spot. Think that’s a biproduct of its small size/length. So yes I would buy it again. Just remember this is not a replacement for your 500 lumen tactical light. The useful throw is maybe 60 yards ( as is that a cell phone or handgun?) but it’s really in its prime at 30 yards. Kind of hand gun range. For its size it’s a great little light. When battery is going to go dead it’s pretty quick. I wish it was a more powerful light, but then it wouldn’t be the nice edc size that it is. It’s very lite, and small.
