I wanted to like it. I don’t like it.
It doesn’t provide light from the end in the way you expect a flashlight to work. Instead it has the light on the side.
I find myself not using it, particularly because it’s always dead because it gets turned on in my pocket.

It’s a great light for use inside equipment cabinets and while working on the car. I’ve had lights similar to this Streamlight (not a Streamlight) but none can compare to the quality and usefulness of this one.
The light given off is bright, but still soft so it’s not blinding. On high it’s bright enough to light up a room.
The magnet is super powerful, you don’t need to worry about the light not staying where you want it.
I also like the fact the battery is replaceable, which means I don’t have to toss the light in the trash if the battery fails.

Got this on a whim, because of a good price and my addiction to flashlights. Yup, I admit it. Frankly, I mostly wanted to see what was so special about it — particularly the COB (Chip On Board). And a magnet on the end.. .why?
OK, so I got it, charged it, and tried it out. It’s much brighter than I anticipated — so that’s good. And the magnet on the end that I thought would be kinda useless? Nope, love the feature. Perfect to stick inside computer case. The old method of “hold a flashlight in one hand while doing whatever work with the other” is gone! I have 2 hands free and a well-lit work area.

At first glance this light didn’t make a lot of sense but I thought what the hell, I can stick it in the corner of my bag and as a 90 degree I could hit it when I needed a bit of light without removing it from the bag.
Well, it certainly works for that but further… this has become my most used flashlight. The magnet is super strong so underhood it’s extremely useful and while it’s not super bright, the flood is enough to fill a good area. Also it’s small enough to get into spaces that a normal light cannot.

I needed something for work that would stay in my shirt pocket all night/day so when I was working on something I didn’t also have to hold a light. I’m a maintenance engineer at a hotel in Boston, so I can’t be walking around with one of those headlamps. This works perfectly! Nice and bright, Holds a charge for weeks and it is nothing to carry. Basically like a slightly oversized pen. Fits in my shirt pocket, is barely noticeable for me and stays in place. It also seems to be fairly water proof. I’ve gotten it pretty soaked a number of times with no issues. The magnet base is also really strong and comes in useful when working on an HVAC. Definitely recommend. A great, well made product.

Great light for general purpose EDC. No blinding beam to worry about when your just trying to read a document or map in the dark. The magnet is handy for retrieval of metal objects in tight places or for checking your oil dipstick at night. I reversed the pocket clip to the opposite end and it carried deep in the pocket like a dream but would activate on in my pocket, the only change it needs is a stiffer activation button or a raised area around the button itself.

Absolutely love this flashlight and use it as my edc working as a technician in a manufacturing plant. The magnet holds well in places where you need light (excellent for use in a haas). The light is bright enough and wide enough the illuminate just about anything you would practically need it for. Only giving 4 stars to waterproofing due to the fact that my chargeport cover fell off and I needed to reach out to stream light to get a replacement however they sent one with no questions asked. Would definitely buy again if this one happens to get lost or less likely break.

Many negative reviews complain about the switch. Out of the box – can’t turn it permanently on. Click the switch on – light turns on and off immediately, doesn’t stay on. Tried holding it down – it turns on, nice and bright. The moment release it – turns off. I took the Li battery out, put it back in – and all of a sudden it fixed the switch issue. Makes no sense. Really like about the light:
1. Doesn’t get hot (or even warm).
2. Goes to low setting with a single click and to high if double-clicked. Low setting is sufficient most of the time for me and it really lasts at least 5 hours.
Bummers
8.5 hours of work – not realistic. The brightness goes down over time, and after 4-5 hours on low will need to recharge – not usable. But even that is impressive for the flashlight of the size. TO extend it – gotta buy a separate Li-ion battery from Streamlight (half the price of the flashlight!).
