   Works awesome. Disappointed the plug for the tail cap is so small and doesn’t snap in and falls out easily. Can see it going missing because it doesn’t want to stay in. That’s the only gripe.

   This worked right out of the box with zero issues other than the door replacement. Minus 1 star for being too cheap to include a small piece of paper with a diagram instructions on how to remove the door, and lack of installation instructions (let alone a video) at the Streamlight website. [As of July 2015.] My pain is your gain! Here’s how to do it: TO REMOVE THE DOOR: 0) Get a good look at the battery door. This is to locate the plastic bumps, but also to see how the hinge will go back in once removed. 1) Fully pull down the metal tab just as if you were going to replace the batteries. — You don’t need to fully open the door at this step, but you can. 2) Locate the two plastic “tabs” [bumps] on either side of the hinge pin. 3) Push the small hinge pin toward the smaller tab. 4) Once it makes contact with the small tab, use needle-nose pliers to pull the pin out. — You can also use a small pick or tiny screwdriver to push the pin all the way through 5) Remove the door TO ATTACH THE NEW DOOR: 1) Set down the light and make sure the door is supported by something. — If you are dextrous just use your hands to hold the light and door in place. 2) Try to get the door in as flush as possible to the hinge mount. — You will need it to make a straight line from hole to hole for the pin 3) Using the pliers or a tool of your choosing, push the pin and guide it through to the next hole. –If the hinge isn’t perfectly straight, you will have to adjust it to align the pin with the 2nd hole 4) Center the hinge and you’re done NOTE: I did notice that the new door was a lot harder to close. TO CLOSE THE NEW DOOR: –> DON’T FORCE IT ! <– 1) Just insert the door from the bottom until it passes the lip and is well seated. 2) Looking directly at the bottom of door, make sure that it is exactly centered, so that the gaps on either side are perfectly symmetrical. 3) Now close the door with a firm push until it is obviously going to click shut, but if you feel like you’re forcing it, back off and try again

   streamlightoutlet.com is pointless, all these items must be b-roll throwaways. basically you’re gambling on an item that may arrive defective (without you realizing unless you have already owned it, again the point?) and stop working a week out of the return period. no real savings to be had there. save yourself a HUGE future headache and buy from a retailer with a real return and warranty policy. 30 days is not enough to know your product, or leave a review for that matter. At the price and known reliability of streamlight, this should not happen. I thought the windage screw felt a tiny bit loose and should have returned it immediately. Sure enough, the windage suddenly stopped adjusting. Lifetime warranty and streamlightoutlet.com just washes their hands, and worse the reps will toy with you until you threaten to out the whole operation, then, sure enough they let you “exceptionally” return, not exchange for a working item ( because they definitely can’t guarantee there are any). This is rapidly turning into another e-bay. I have the chat logs to prove all of this. Here’s hoping I don’t get ghosted.

   Absolutely garbage, like everything else stream light makes. I used the TLR 1 with the stock switch on a pistol. After about 1,00 rounds it broke. I thought to use the light on a long gun to salvage it. This new backplate with the pressure switch literally broke while installing it. Don’t waste your money. I got a new backplate for the light and will be selling it asap. Serves me right…

   Like the green laser dot. The strobe feature works well and was mounted to my Benelli M4. Cant respond to the durability as I have not fired the gun yet but my assumption is that the his light can handle the recoil on a repetitive basis.

    This device allows a TLR-2G laser and light to function on a long gun. This device is somewhat difficult to install but once installed is dependable and durable. A TLR-2G with remote door switch and pressure switch is fairly expensive compared to other systems. I have been using this system on long guns for several years and feel it is worth the money. The laser maintains zero and the remote door and pressure work every time.

    I used this on my Streamlight TLR-2 HL G. Once installed, the new remote-enabling door is great. As others have mentioned, this is only the Streamlight door and it does not include the remote switch – for me, that switch was a Streamlight Long Gun Remote 8in Tape Switch Plug Straight 69135 (for a PS90). I think it is overpriced for a piece of mostly plastic, but if you need it you need it. I wish it came with instructions or at least a link to instructions because I could not find instructions on Streamlight’s site or on the tube. I ended up using 2 of my smallest allen keys (3/64″ and 0.05 if I recall correctly) to work the pin out of the existing battery door in order to remove it, and then I installed the new door. The new door took a little bit of forcing it to close, but eventually it did shut. I did not lose the strobing feature or the ability to toggle between green laser only/flashlight only/laser+flashlight modes. Even though there are some negatives stated above, I am rating this as a 4 star item because it really improved the HD functionality and ergonomics of my PS90.

    I have searched & tried dozens of combination lights/mounts in the last several months for my ARs. Surefire is great but I refused to pay for “the name”. I have (4) Streamlight TLR-1 lights on my Glocks. They are rock solid, blinding & don’t break the bank. Due to my training, shooting style & mid-length rail, I’m somewhat limited…that is until I hit upon this switch assembly kit from Streamlight. Using the rail cover pressure pad installation, its mounted at 12:00 butted up to the front A post sight on my Midwest Ind Gen II SS FF rail. The light is mounted as far forward at 3:00 on a 3″ rail section. I ran the coil thru the front post sight, plugged it into the rear door & I’m still grinning 3 hours later. The pressure coil is the key to the clean, no wire tie, perfect fit & finish. This combo from streamlightoutlet.com runs about $175 & is just as bright, clean & cool as my buddy’s $400+ Surefire.     This replacement cap is perfect for my work rifle and what I’m using it for. The only complaint is that it did not come with the pin I highlighted in my picture. I had to pull the pin out of the original tail cap and use that one. Not a deal breaker, but it should be in the description and this product would’ve gotten 5 stars.
