   This tactical accessory is just as described. The light is blinding bright. The strobe mode will literally leave you unable to see for a few seconds. Super bright!!! The laser is very bright , and travel is far and very spot on. The laser came zeroed in from the factory. I put in on my glock 17, fired and dead center. Buy some extra batteries with the addition option when you order. Batteries aren’t as common as AA OR AAA. Very expensive Accesory to my gun almost 1/3 of the price but I must say for almost $300…. you get your money’s worth and will not feel jipped. Wanted the best and got it. For once 👍

   Out of the box and on the rail in under 2 min. Comes with several attachment points for your desired mounted options. Battery for the light is easy to install. Laser battery is pre-installed, may be an issue later down the road when it needs to be replaced. Light is bright enough to defeat or disorient a threat and laser alone is bright and could be used to temporarily blind a target as well. One piece construction is solid. Rocker switch for constant on or momentary on is simple to operate. 3 modes, Laser, Laser + Light & Light. Upgrade over previous models all modes feature the strobe function. Not sure why I need the laser to strobe but it adds to the “O S*** it just got real” factor for the unlucky intruder. Out of the box mine seemed to be sighted in around 30yds. Adjustments are easy and I’ve since adjusted that out to 50 yds. Yes the green laser is just as bright in the day time as it is at night. Unlike the red lasers under hazy conditions you can see a thin pencil trail from the laser through the air to the target. Once again not needed but it adds intensity to the situation. CONS: Laser is not center underneath or with the unit like the TLR-2. Instead the laser is housed within the light and offset to the left hand side. Aesthetically it looks cleaner but you get a ghost spot above the laser when it’s on due to the reflection of the light’s casing. Not a deal breaker but annoying if you happen to use it in CQB style training with a Reflex sight. I’ll attempted to post pics and a video in the next few weeks.    I had been in the market for quite sometime casually looking around some 3rd party H&K parts websites to buy an attachable rail mounted tactical light for my .40 H&K P30 firearm. After comparing several models, I happened to come across the Streamlight 69250 TLR-2 G Tactical Light. In the interest of saving some money on shipping, etc., I checked to see if this model was available through streamlightoutlet.com and it (obviously) was. And I must say that I am extremely happy with my purchase. This light is excellent for my needs in a potential home defense situation. With the various modes of operation, ease of attachment/detachment, and of course price point, the TLR-2 G is well worth the buy if you are looking for a rail mounted tactical light for your firearm. I was very happy with how easy it was to install/attach the TLR-2 G to my firearm. One of the advantages to this model, is that it fits several different rail styles to include Glock-style, Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W 99 and S&W TSW. This gave me peace of mind that I wouldn’t have any issues attaching the TLR-2 G, or even worse, having to send it back because it didn’t support my rail system. The TLR-2 G has you covered. Even better, if you have other firearms that have a rail system you can be assured that your TLR-2 G will work on most/all of them. Be sure to double-check your firearm’s owners manual to see which rail system (if any) that you have before purchase. The extra cross check never hurts. As far as the various modes of operation go, the TLR-2 has a silver toggle switch that allows for 3 modes of operation. 1) Laser and Light, 2) Laser only, and 3) Light only. There is a 4th mode of operation that allows you to strobe the light if necessary, but it is not controlled by this small switch (that I am aware of). The switch itself does not turn on the light, it just sets the mode of operation. The light is “turned on” by pushing one of the two paddles on the backside of the unit. Completely depressing the right paddle will allow the light to be on continuously and freeing your hand(s) to do other things. Pushing the left paddle will temporarily turn the unit on and remain on for as long as the paddle is depressed. Releasing the paddle will turn off the light. In order to initiate the strobing mode of the unit you have to, in my own words, “double-tap” the left paddle and on the second “tap”, hold down the paddle. Consistently activating the strobing mode takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the muscle memory, it works like a charm. This was probably the hardest thing for me to initially get used to, but is more my problem than a product flaw, in my opinion. If you prefer not to have strobing, the instruction manual dictates how to disable it. To re-enable strobing you follow the same steps as deactivation. I was able to test how bright the 200 lumen light was in both the normal (continuous) and strobing modes in semi-dark and completely dark rooms and the light is blinding if you are unfortunate enough to be in direct line of sight. The swath of bright white light that the TLR-2 G provides ensures you can confidently identify your target with no mistaken intentions or identification. The strobing effect is extremely strong in my opinion and is a much valued asset and force multiplier in disorienting a would be intruder, especially in tight or closed quarters. Even to me, standing directly behind the light, the strength and effect of the strobe even surprised me. I have yet to live-fire with the light attached, but I did dry-fire my firearm and I was still able to comfortably and securely handle my firearm even with the light attached. Based on the other reviews, I feel confident in (re)-sighting/adjusting my firearm and there will be no regression in my accuracy and handling. I’ve provided a couple of pictures of the light attached to my firearm.

   Wow, I love Streamlight. I’ve got several of their tactical lights and a couple of their weapon lights. Their pricing is reasonable and all have just worked no matter what.
   I bought this for my AR and it worked like a champ, but I decided to put it on my HD gun, a Sig P229. Yeah, the gun is a kinda compact pistol, and this is a big light but they go together very well. This is a bright green laser. Very bright. I can see it to 50yds during the day and at night you can actually see the ray coming out of the gun all the way to the target or treetops 1/2 mile away. It has stayed secure and on point of impact that I set through 400+ rounds with nothing more than the initial adjustment. It actually makes me more accurate at 25 yards. I shot 30 steel plates in a row with that sub 4″ 40 cal pistol and hit them all. That is better than I usually do with just the iron sights.
   It is very easy to sight this in to your iron sights ahead of going to the range.
   I bought a custom made AIWB holster from 2AHolsters dot com and it really works well for this combo.
   I recommend this item for your AR or handgun, or both.

   First impressions were looks or FORM after i ripped that stupid laser warning sticker off the bottom ..yes its there for company liability but its ridiculous…..that off my chest .. FUNCTION: the one gripe i have is the oscillating switch that engages on /off is flimsy on the flat end where it bolts in the center and could get lucky snagging or breaking exiting a heavy retention holster …so i filed it down 1/16th on the sides ..it did not disappoint as it held on my FNX 45 tactical out of the box and my Glock 19 to boot as the solid construction of this light will outlast any polymer system out there and after a couple hundred rounds the recoil didn’t phase accuracy, the laser is bright and visible in all out door situations and the light has a significant brightness to clear dark places but if your trying to spot something past 75 yards in the dark …meh …but its a exceptional beam for a pistol application…..the strobe is a nice feature ..a little hard to master under stress or target engagement when pressing switch twice .. in conclusion, you can buy two of these lights for the price of one surefire …its tough…laser holds zero on target….delivers a blinding beam of awesome ….its made from solid construction …im buying more

   Arrived on time and undamaged, and in its factory sealed box. So far I’ve been using it the last 6000 rounds of 9 mm and a little over 1000 rounds of 45 ACP and the light and laser still work perfectly. I did need to tighten up the toggle switch pivot screw at around 2500 rounds. This could have been because of vibration or because it got hooked on clothing items during draw practice. Ultimately though it’s exactly what I wanted. I will say I’m finding it impossible to find a holster that will accommodate the extra depth The laser adds to the light assembly. It’s definitely going to stay on my at home set up. I particularly like it for an at home set up because it’s only 300 lm whereas I’ll be using a streamlight TLR-1HL For a potential EDC with 1000 lm. I think this TLR 2G 300 lm is perfect for any at home set up. Don’t want the light to reflect off the wall in front of me and blind myself at the same time as a possible intruder. So think about what lumens you need for your application before purchasing. I am very happy with all my streamlight purchases.
   P.s. I’d also like to add I’m using it on an sig with the proprietary moon rail system and I had no mounting issues using the standard 1913 key.

   This product is simply amazing. The design and the quality associated with the product is top notch. It fit right onto my Glock 17 Gen 4 like a glove.
   The installation and replacing the batteries is simple and I really like the redesign of the battery housing. It will prevent any accidental opening of the battery door while shooting.

   I am very impressed by the Streamlight product. It appears to be better than Surefire IMHO and with a better price point to boot.
