   Amazing little and very powerful light BUT has a misleading length of use time. The light will stay at its absolute brightest for 30min. On the spec sheet the company states 1.5hrs of use time. What they fail to mention is that after 30 minutes the brightness will significantly start to drop off to a point where at the 40-50 minute mark it’s at its last practical brightness and needs new batteries. I’ve went through 2 sets of batteries now due to training with the light but now that I’m comfortable and confident with the light I ni longer should need to turn the light on except for emergency type situations. If you can get over that negative aspect then you’ll love the light. ALSO – Quick tip for protection of the lens. It may sound silly but before you even fire a shot while this light is mounted, be sure to apply a decent coat of lip balm to the lens. Make sure to get it over the entire circumference of the glass lens or else you’re going to have a VERY rough time getting the carbon from gun fire off of the lense. With the lip balm all it takes is a super quick wipe from a microfiber and it will look just as new as the day you received it. I ended up purchasing a little rubber cap here on streamlightoutlet.com to protect the lens when using the gun at the range. ALSO – LAST TIP – If you didn’t get the chance to apply the lip balm before getting your lense dirty then DO NOT use any cleaners that can seep into the light from the lens. All you need is a pencil eraser. Work the eraser in a circular motion while applying light pressure. This will take care of any carbon that’s caked to the lens and won’t scratch the lens. Then either purchase yourself a cap for range use or do the lip balm technique. Hope this helps!

   Light is really bright and works well! However, if you plan on using it with a holster, make sure to just get a different light. Or be prepared to have troubles getting your firearm out of the holster. The rubber seal on the battery compartment came out slightly and has basically made it impossible to holster anything with this light on.

   This Streamlight throws a wide, bright beam. It is very good as a flood light and is well suited for a handgun or shotgun. The beam isn’t really suited for a rifle application and the controls would make it more difficult to use on a rifle. Seams to be well made, though I haven’t fired many rounds since I mounted it. Time will tell how durable it is.

   Love the light and the non surefire price. Well made rugged unit. Shorter than surefire in length. Works like it should very bright. Controls are easy to figure out. If using on Gen5 Glock, use the 1913 spacer plate and not the Glock spacer Plate. Seems counter intuitive I know. How ever there is no movement with the 1913 rail spacer as there is with the Glock spacer. 1913 spacer locks the unit in tight with no movement. If you use the Glock spacer it moves around because spacer lug is smaller. I found this out after my light had movement when I was activating the controls with my index finger. I would push the control with my finger and the light would move forward a tiny bit. Felt it enough to find annoying. Come to find out Glock uses 1913 pic rail spacing standards rather than there own.

    I recently purchased the Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL 1000-Lumen Weapon Light for my firearm, and I have been incredibly impressed with its performance.

    First off, the brightness is phenomenal. The 1000-lumen output provides a wide, intense beam that’s perfect for low-light environments. Whether I’m using it for home defense or target shooting at night, it illuminates everything clearly without being overpowering. The beam is focused enough to see long distances, but also wide enough for close-range engagements.

    Better priced than anyoutfitters I’ve visited in my area. I was looking for a simple, inexpensive, and easy to use flashlight for my Mossberg 590A1. Initially, I was worried about how it would hold up on a pump action 12 gauge shotgun and it passed with flying colors! For my setup, I have it mounted on the left side of the shotgun’s forend. I will be swapping it to the right side as the picatiny rail used to mount the light makes every shot feel awkward on my thumb. Not the light’s fault. Just my poor choice of placement. For ammunition used to test durability, I fired 15 of 2 3/4 Winchester Super X 00 Buck, 15 of 3 in Federal Flite Control 00 Buck, 15 of Federal 2 3/4 Power Shok 1 oz. slugs and 100 of 2 3/4 Field and Target Multipurpose load – all of which were fired with the TLR 1 mounted and turned on. First impression Pros and Cons to follow: PROs: 1. Very Sturdy 2. Simple. Nothing too fancy or edgy. Inconspicuous. 3. Less expensive on streamlightoutlet.com. Cabela’s priced it at $178.99 and would not price match with streamlightoutlet.com Prime. 4. Installment took 2 minutes or less. 5. Multiple mounting options for different types of rails. 6. Comes with tools to install. 7. Designed to hold on its own. I hand tightened it initially and followed up with a 1/8 to 1/4in turn using a coin. Held up on all my shots. No need to tighten more than that. 8. Controls are easy to manipulate. 9. Extremely bright! Even in well lit rooms, it will overpower most lights! Perfect for blinding homeinvaders (should that happen). 10. Lightweight but again… sturdy. Of course it’s designed mainly for pistols so its weight is felt even less on my Mossberg 590A1. Cons (this is just me being nitpicky): 1. Battery replacement requires dismounting. However, the battery chamber and locking mechanism seems to be waterproofed and holds very well. 2. Light flickered just a tiny bit when I fired the 00 bucks and 1600fps slugs (not very noticeable). But, the light never flickered when I swapped the light onto my 9mm and 45mm pistols and when I was firing multipurpose field and target 12 gauge loads. 3. I find no purpose in the Strobe option other than in a tactical setting to help identify yourself as to other friendly maneuver… maybe blinding effect? I don’t know. It’s a plus to have but I find no use for it. Bottomline, great light, great price, great addition to my home defense shotgun! It’s not perfect but it’s up there! I hope the helps! I will update more if anything comes up the more I use the TLR-1. Good job Streamlight!

    Fantastic light that is super bright and secure. It fits a bit forward on my Glock 19 and it slides forward without the brace in place. I have long fingers so it doesn’t bother me as much. The ambidextrous operation of the light is great as I switch between my left and right shooting positions. My only downside is that I wish it wasn’t so power hungry. Other than that, it’s a fantastic light.
