   The product description says TLR-8 X but I received the TLR-8 A. I don’t see a lot of difference between them so I am keeping it. I bought this primarily for home defense and its perfect. It is an excellent piece of optics! Precision made and fits the Glock 19 rails perfectly with the correct rail key. The light is bright and useful in almost any situation. The red laser is also bright and could be a deterrence in itself when an intruder sees it shining on them! I was going to buy tritium night sights but I think the TLR-8 was a much better option!

   See compatibility chart! Just secured (yes tightly installed) on my Beretta APX Centurion, the instructions say use UNIV-1 insert to secure to rail and even says it fits (loosely front to back), I didn’t expect it to fly off during firing pistol! Pic 1 – installed as instructed but sits in front of rail, and not in the real notches! Pic 2 – would expect to fit here even if “loosely” I would not fly off! Pic 3 – inserts included, and one I used. (Although none worked). None of the plastic inserts that come with this had a proper fitment for the Beretta APX Centurion, placing notch in rail mounting notch as expected. All else, the light & brightness and operation of the light, are great. 1/14/22 UPDATE I had a friend do a 3D Print of a piece to accommodate my model. Holding very strong now!

   I got sent a used light. A few of the different rail adapters were just sitting in the box and obvious scratches on the screw that tightens the light to the rail. Obvious that the battery had already been put in and used. Pretty bummed and annoyed.

   Bought this unit to use for competition night shoots at our club. Costly to buy however, it fits well and installs in seconds. The added laser is a bonus. Well made and easy to run through the various functions. The on / off switch works with a slight touch. Wish it had a brighter light. Purchased another unit ( much cheaper) which had 1200Lums. Just didn’t fit the holster. Overall, great unit, would recommend

   My 1st shipment the streamlight was used. I could tell because the adjustment screws were starting to round off and area around the screws were scratched/chipped/salty.

   The laser is a nice feature but I don’t think I’ll use it enough to justify the cost difference over the TLR-7. Once installed it does it’s job and it’s a good quality bright light.

   Had it attached to a Sig Sauer 9mm P226 Legion, after the first 5 rounds at the Range, it snapped. I saw the pieces go in different directions and then to the ground. So the screw broke and the spring most have separated it… Not sure if it’s poor quality but not expecting this from a TLR -8A since they a bit pricy. It’s works, however the don’t hold well.
