This is the second stream like I have bought for a handgun the number TLR1 and 7 work hard for me and always work 💯. I can’t believe how long the batteries last and how bright they are

Nice bright light. Instant on upon physical purchase. Fit is good.

To be perfect there should be an option with also the low switch button, the high one and the contour option. That would be best deal.

I guess the one I received was missing parts. Will not mount correctly on any glock. Too late to return.

I initially intended to get this for a Glock 19, but it throws the ergonomics off with the already limited grip space, but when mounted on my Glock 22, it was much more comfortable.
In general, I think that the TLR-7A Flex is a better unit, control wise. This has the same forward controls, which are better suited for a defensive firearm. The contour switch really seems like a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist.

The button doesn’t fit flush with the grip or fit into the gun as well as I would like, aside from that you have to keep extra pressure on the button, and the slightest release of pressure makes the light turn off. I’m sure it’s nice but not for the X Macro at all. On a side note this flashlight has a warmer light as opposed to the oppressive ghost white I like on my WML’s… and I couldn’t get the strobe effect to work, first light I’ve had this issue, and the manual says there is a strobe effect.

I was a Marine in the late 90s and then I served as a Police Officer. I used the first generation of Streamlight weapon lights. While they were serviceable and worked for their purpose, they just could not hold a candle to Surefire. This current evolution of lights three decades later, are a whole different ballgame entirely. I am really impressed with the construction, and the brightness of this light. It is tactically bright. It is bright enough to stun an adversary and disorient them, so obviously it is bright enough to see what you need to. This is a safety feature, you don’t want to make a mistake if you are unfortunate enough be put in that position. The controls are fairly straight forward. My only gripe is the momentary on the pigtail is a bit stiff and requires quite a bit of force to activate the light. With a bit more training and familiarization, I do not think it will be a problem. The light is fairly compact. One of the best parts, is you get a lot of ight for the money spent. With it’s construction, I believe it will last for years with medium to hard use. I have not tested it long for battery life but I have seen nothing to suggest that it will be sub par. Truthfully, I am impressed with this light. I would use it on duty without hesitation and that is saying a lot. I only use items that I absolutely depend upon to not fail. Anyone would be happy with this. I hope they make these with pigtails to fit more models of handguns.
