   Fits like a glove. I had my doubts about this since I had only ever used the surefire pump light. The compact design fits my SBS well and it is comfortable to handle. I was worried the design would make activating the light difficult or uncomfortable to use but I was wrong. At half the price of the surefire the light output was comparable. I have carried an 870 for 17 years and so the amount of light that is thrown out is more than sufficient to clear a house or store or any other CQB type of situations. Light is wide enough for PID in a house which is great.

   I wish temp on was the shorter press but hey it’s still a reliable but of kit.

   I’m really happy with this replacement forend for my two home defense Remington 870 Express Tactical shotguns (we have his and hers – how sweet). Installation is a snap, especially if you’re familiar with breaking down your gun. Even if you’ve never removed your forearm before, it’s not a difficult process and there are plenty of videos on Youtube. Note that you WILL need a specialty tool to remove the forend locking nut (I have this one: https://www.streamlightoutlet.com.com/dp/B07VP9VHQH). The light is incredibly bright, and the long actuator pads on each side make turning the light on and off super intuitive. The design choice for a short press to turn the light on/off, and a long press to only turn on as long as you hold the button was smart and, again, intuitive. Turning this light on will illuminate and temporarily blind a nighttime intruder. It’ll be the last thing they ever see.

   Positives: solid build, pressure pads work well on both sides and for me activates easily with thumb on left side, keeps light in line with barrel not stuck out on side rail, and easy battery access and easy install. Negatives: grip is large so small hands find it awkward to grip and the design creates awkward gap between ribbed forend and flashlight component. Just doesn’t feel like a good corn cob forend or even Magp forend that are slimmer. I’m sure with time I’ll get used to it. Side note…came in black so didn’t match my Magp FDE stock. But there is FDE spray paint on streamlightoutlet.com branded as matching Magp FDE. Easy application with painter’s tape covering certain areas. I put on three coats. Close but not exact match but 500% better than black.

    When I took it out of the box, it feels like a quality item. My only complaint is now I need to order a specialty tool to remove the nut that holds it on the gun. I would have gladly paid the extra $10-$15 for a combo package to have the tool ship with it vs waiting another week to get the tool…

    Excellent product. Took 30 minutes. Thankfully I bought the fore end removal tool at the same time. Never having removed the Express wood grip before, it was snugly on there. Without the tool I never would have loosened it. Youtube helped greatly as I’m very handy but not a gunsmith. This is easy after you see somebody do it. The light and grip are excellent. Super bright and ergonomic grip. Batteries included.

    Easy install. Just use a flat head if you don’t have the proper wrench. Be careful but it works. The light is bright and durable. Installed on a 14inch rem 870 with a +1 extension. Everything lines up nice and the light looks like it belong there. Doesn’t add much weight at all and keeps the gun nice and streamlined so you’re not bumping into anything with a flashlight mounted on the side of your forend. I wish it was a bit brighter as there is brighter flashlights out there now a day but it is bright enough for most applications.

    Great addition and fit for a Remington 870 TAC-14. I had initially attached a light to the Magpul forend but found without a buttstock, the firearm tended to push back more and the light could bite ya. This solves that problem while also maintaining the more sleek, low profile of gun. Nice wide beam like you would want for a shotgun. The price difference between this and the Surefire make it an outstanding value.

    Put this on an old Remington 870 magnum, it feels tight and is much brighter than I expected it to be. I think it’s $3 worth of plastic and $115 flashlight. I was a little hesitant at the low cost but now I wish I would have got one sooner.
