   This is a very simple install on my shotgun – it took only about 10 minutes. The instructions were clear enough, the supplied hardware suitable and it came with the proper allen wrench. I did have to pry the part open (as per instructions) with a screw driver to slip it over the mag tube. It holds any device with a matching rail clamp; lights, lasers … whatever you want. I did not go with five stars is because it will take extra time to remove the barrel – something I do with every cleaning job. It is not really a big deal but it is a compromise for me. Also, whilst it is constucted of tough plastic, it is possible to compromise the fit by over-tightening the fasteners. Overall, the quality and execution of this product is fine. If you are not obsessive about removing or changing barrels on your shotgun, you will love it.

   Exactly what I needed to mount my Streamlight TLR-1 HL onto my Mossberg 590. Took it to the range and shot 100+ rounds through it without it budging in the slightest. You will need to take off your barrel to install it properly, but I don’t see this thing ever breaking on me now that it’s in place.

    Works extremely well with my Winchester shotgun setup. Does not add significant weight and does not affect balance. My setup in particular is a Winchester 1300 Defender with TacStar extended mag, utilizing a TLR-1 weapon light. I use my index finger to activate the light while holding the fore end. Works either right handed or left handed in the same mounting position since the light is in the 6 o’clock position. Note: I tried the same setup on my Remington 870 Express Tactical and it does not work as well. The issue with my Remington is that the mount is too far forward and my support arm is hyper-extended. It will still work, but not as efficiently. Update on Remington 870 use: Still the same set up except I replaced the butt stock with a Hogue Youth model. The length of pull is 12″ instead of the original 14″ and in effect made the light mount 2″ closer. My support arm is no longer hyper-extended and the shotgun is much more nimble.

    Works perfect on a Mossberg Maverick 88. Have this setup with a Streamlight light and is easy to reach and doesn’t budge when shooting. However the mount is not as pictured. I’m not sure it would work if it was as pictured though. So that’s a good think. I uploaded photos of the actual mount. The tab on the rail is not there. The accuracy of the listing is the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars! Pair it with Streamlight 69110 TLR-1 C4 LED Rail Mounted Weapon Flashlight, Black for a great combination!
