   I’ve had many streamlight products. When this l light works it works well. It constantly turns off and won’t come back on unless the batteries are taken out and reinserted. Thought it was low batteries, but it does it with brand new batteries also.

   The “flood” light setting provides a lovely uniform lighted area – no bright “hot spot” in the center. So, great as a work light, especially for aging eyes.
   Unfortunately, like most LED flashlights, there is little warning when the battery runs down; keep batteries handy. Better yet, buy a few of these – I have 3, so far.

   I was really hoping for a smaller, more tightly focused spot beam setting for automotive work. Such flashlights are out there, but always seem to come with “trick” tail cap switches that drive me crazy. This is just a simple full on/full off switch, which is what I wanted. The spot beam is decent. The head is fairly small and fits into tight spaces. So despite not being overjoyed with the flashlight, I don’t see anything better that meets my needs.

   Handy light. Not bright enough for an EDC but good for finding stuff in the dark. I use brand new lithium batteries and the run time is only about 3 hours, not the advertised 10 hours. Streamlight has always made some of the best lights and I’ve been a customer for over 20 years, but they have lost their innovation edge to Fenix whose lights are just as sturdy but are much brighter, have more features and longer battery life.
