If you were like me trying to turn your normal LED light into a IR illuminator, you should do yourself a favor and just get a real one… I place it in front of my 200 lumen LED flash light and in a pitch black room I couldn’t see anything through my night vision scope.

I bought this because the majority of my work requires me to operate lights out. When its completely dark, the filter does what it’s intended to do but the quality is not very good. For $20 I expected my flashlight to be a bit more brighter. I gave it two stars because its better than nothing. I would go with an LED IR emitter drop-in module. Its cheaper and 10x brighter than a filter.

Tried to use it for work with my night vision body cam but it didn’t work. Body cam barely picked up any light

The filter does what it’s supposed to do with a Streamlight Stinger LED. With my Gen 2+HP monocular the Stinger with IR filter looks pretty much like a night vision version of the flashlight.
However; the Streamlight beam almost disappears when I turn on the built-in illuminator on the monocular.
The Streamlight has a little more throw than the built-in illuminator, but the hotspot is very small in comparison.
I would recommend an actual illuminator for a little more money.

They work but cut down some on transmitted light.

Works as advertised. I only wish it was a little brighter but it’s an awesome and cheaper alternative than an actual IR flashlight.

Great.

It fits like a glove on my flsahlight and operates like a normal flashlight with my nightvision goggles, You cannot see anything when you are looking at it normally

For what I’m trying to use it for this is garbage. Maybe it works better with better night vision I know what I have is cheap. I thought it would have done something, nothing at all. Using on a stinger DS.
