   Review For: Streamlight 88061 ProTac 1L-1AA 350-Lumen Dual Fuel Light

   LIKED: 3 ‘Click-Switch Program Functions’ [1-(high/strobe/low); 2-(high only); 3-(low-high); AND the simple “10 tap” programming to switch the click-button function. I REALLY LIKE the ‘Dual Power’ capability to use either CR123, AA std, or AA Energizer L91 ‘Fe-Lithium’ batteries. The ‘spill’ and ‘throw’ are excellent for this size of a small light … quite powerful!
   DISLIKED: The silicone button is domed-out just enough to prevent being able to “tail stand” (stand upright on a flat surface). Also, the button switch is surrounded by raised bosses (crenelations) which make button actuation difficult for moderate-and-larger hands, or “older-guy” hands. I may just file off 2 crenelations to make “thumb clicking” easier! Otherwise this is a superb powerful, flexible and well made small flashlight that out performs its peers!!!

   Have used this light for three months as an every day carry item without a hitch. The light seems very durable. I really like the ability to use AAA, AA, and CR battery types. Also the programming capability lets you customize the light to your use preferences. I recommend this light. Brightness settings on low and high beam meet my expectations and needs.

   My “go-to” flashlight! It can run on three different batteries. AA, AAA, and CR123. I always keep one on my belt, one in my truck, and one for my emergency kit. I promise you won’t be disappointed. The light is super bright and has a nice throw. Strobe feature is really nice as well. Adjustable light output with a few clicks is another awesome feature!

   I purchased this item because I’ve owned a Streamlight ‘Stylus Pro’ model for a very long time and it has been a great little flashlight. This model is approximately half the length of the Stylus Pro and it fits nicely in almost any pocket. The threads on the flashlight are extremely well machined and it never requires any fumbling around to screw the sections back together after changing the battery. The rubber cap over the On/Off switch is replaceable, as are the little rubber O-rings, but the cap on my old Stylus Pro is still in great condition so I don’t know how frequently it needs to be changed. All in all this is a great little flashlight that will last for a very long time.

    This light is fantastic. I bought it because I wanted to keep a flashlight in my car for emergencies, and everywhere I looked I kept seeing people advising against alkaline batteries (leaking) and lithium-ion rechargeables because they can be affected by high heat (I live in Southern California, so summers can bake your car. This light is different though. Not only did they figure out a way to have a battery compartment that accepts CR123a, AA and in a pinch, AAA batteries, but since you can use lithium primary batteries (non-rechargeable), you can stock this away in your car or go bag for YEARS, and the batteries will still be good, and won’t be affected by the high heat! Currently using the included lithium CR123a battery, which gives it the best output (40 Lumens low, 350 Lumens on high!), and have included pics of both modes. Plenty of light for when you find yourself in a jam. I have extra CR123a lithium batteries, so this will stay in my car with spares for the foreseeable future. It will also use alkaline batteries, though with lower output, but still good. So basically, if you want a flashlight that you can set and forget, this is the one to get.
