   This thing gets used more often than any other tool I own. It’s solid as a rock and super waterproof to the point that when it gets dirty I literally wash it with soap and water. It’s super compact but still obviously sturdy. I only have two complaints. One, is that the switch on the back is plastic unlike the rubbery material that is on most Streamlights. The second complaint is that there is no half press. Full press only with a long press being momentary on and a quick press being stationary on. Two quick presses will change the brightness level depending on your settings. However, the functionality is the same with the typical ten tap programming that you’re used to from Streamlight. The battery lasts for days or weeks depending on how much you use it and which brightness setting you’re on. I’ve not noticed it getting super hot either. Yeah it gets a little warm, but the heat level is nothing crazy. I love this thing and it never leaves my pocket. Its flat design really helps with comfort. It’s short and lightweight enough to be comfortable in the pocket and not pull your pants down or bog you down but long enough to get a full grip on with my large-glove-sized hands. By far my favorite EDC flashlight of all time.

   I’ve dropped, stepped on, ran over, kicked, and used this as a hammer almost every day for the last year. It still holds up great. Very impressed by the build quality and strength of this, it’s a high end light for a reason. Bright enough for inspection, don’t need any more than this. Button can be a little annoying to double click for the low brightness but it works great as a simple on/off. Battery life is pretty good I don’t charge it often at all

   Let me start by saying—I don’t typically write product reviews. But I felt compelled to share my experience with this light. While I won’t go into technical details like lumens or candela, I can confidently speak to the durability of this light. I’m a deputy in California, where we experience all four seasons. I purchased this light for everyday carry and ended up losing it during a search and rescue mission in the snow. I marked the coordinates where I dropped it, hoping I might recover it later. Fast forward two months—I returned to the location and found the light exactly where I’d lost it. Despite needing a serious cleaning, it worked perfectly. That kind of resilience is rare. This light is clearly built for professionals, and I genuinely appreciate that. I’ll be a lifelong customer!

   I went back and forth between the Wedge and the Wedge XT. The Wedge XT was exactly what I was looking for. I programmed it to have low beam first, then the higher output light. This fits great in a front pocket, but I was looking for a different option and purchased a Topstache knife sheath. It fit a little tight at first but broke in after a few days. I did notice the Wedge XT would sometimes turn on in my pocket, but no big deal. USB C charging is nice, I preferred this over the OLight magnetic base charging because I would need several, for home, work, etc. Cons: I really don’t have any. Yes, the price is a little steep, but I own two Streamlight Strion lights and a Strion Switchblade and I have always liked Streamlight quality.

   Edit: I lost my black one! It was my most used tool and I looked everywhere for it. Instantly went and bought a replacement because it is hands down the best EDC light on the market! The coyote matches my EDC pocket knife very well too. I love this color and hopefully with it not being fully black I won’t lose it as easy this time. I love this light. Got it Oct 2023 I carry it everyday for work. I’m always digging around in dark corners in warehouse racks, blocking and bracing dark shipping containers. This works perfect as it’s a wide angle floodlight, and easily goes wall to wall in a shipping container. If you’re looking for a more focused light this isn’t it. It has USB C charging, perfect for me everything else I use is USBC. I’ve yet to run out of battery yet and I usually charge at the end of every week. I was afraid of the tail power button but, I’ve yet to accidentally turn it on in my pocket. 10/10.

   I’m actually very happy with the Wedge XT, the finish is very classy, the size is ideal for the hand, the two light levels also fit, you can always find the tail switch blindly. However, I have bad luck with removing the clip. The scope of delivery includes a 0.050″ hex wrench and I was not able to loosen the 2 screws with it, they are so tight that the tool spun and made the screw heads round. The second tool supplied with my Wedge (V1) didn’t help either, and I couldn’t get the screws loose with any of the other tools I have. I think that’s a shame, because I bought the Wedge XT because of its flat shape and don’t need the clip, which makes the lamp a lot bigger.

    Light my favorite part is the compactness and thinness of this light. It’s decently bright and has two modes and decent functionality. The reason I don’t have five stars is the lens seems to deform from the light being on for too long

    It’s slim form factor was a huge reason why I chose this light. I own several streamlight and other namebrand lights. By far the best light I own. Barely notice it in your pocket, rarely turns on from standing and sitting. It’s almost as thin as a Kershaw Livewire, and the grip allows a perfect fit in my hand.
