   Edit – the original flashlight batteries just died. I bought replacements and it appears the light itself no longer works. I’ve only had it 16 months, and actually used for 4 hours. Pretty disappointed for a $80 helmet light.

   I used the strap to attach the light to my helmet. Great fit, bright as heck, and easy to aim it directly at your sight line.

   I have the light mounted on my helmet for work and it gets the job done. The helmet interferes with the light because it has the built in face shield, but that’s on the helmet manufacturer. It’s bright enough and if I need to, I can take the light off the helmet and leave the mount on.

   I’ve had one of these for 2+ years. Used it as the chief of our local volunteer fire department. High-powered light. The two different accessories for connecting to the helmet are a great benefit. I use the helmet band on my structural helmet and the mounting bracket on my wildlands helmet. Needed a new light for around the house and decided to get another one of these and donate the mounting accessories to the VFD.

   As long as the batteries are strong, the light is fantastic. There are smaller lights out there, but this one will bring a weight balance if you keep wedges on your helmet. It’s actually not heavy at all. It’s more durable than the light I had mounted previously.

   Has a good mount the band is great quality and the light it’s self is seriously brighter than all hell. If your on a budget this is perfect and just as good if not better than the other lights. You’ll get free shipping so you might as well throw some seat belt cutter and window punch and other tools in and you’ll be set for well under $100

    Great flashlight. I have had it on my helmet for months now. It has been through several structure fire and other night calls (MVC, etc.), and has been working quite well thus far. For the price, it is definitely great value for money.
