   Due to its compactness and the SINGLE SET of mounting bolts (which are offset from the centerline of the Picatinny rail), you are easily able to rotate the mount so as to tuck your light, etc. close to the barrel — rather than having the doggone thing sticking out 90 degrees to the side or underneath like a sore thumb. Other shotgun pic rails using 2 sets of mounting bolts have limited movement due to binding against the barrel. I mounted a 600+ lumen Streamlight Strion using an offset QD mount, and the light sits nicely right alongside the barrel with the light’s tube extending over the forearm. Perfect position for off-hand thumb activation. It also tucks a TLR-1 nice & close also… Because it has a single set of mounting bolts and is made of polymer, you will likely have to pry it open quite a bit to jockey it into position on the tube… but once it’s there, brother — it ain’t going nowhere. I’ve used this mount on 2 shotguns after having tried several other tube mounts. This one is, by far, the very best for my application(s).

   I bought the Streamlight Tactical Flashlight Magazine Tube Mount #69903 for Streamlight’s TLR-1s Flashlight thinking all should be well on my new Remington 870 Tactical Express 6+1 12 ga. shotgun. […] It wasn’t. This thing barely fit over the Remington’s magazine tube even after prying it open with a screwdriver. Then the locking screws were so far apart after tightening it looked awful. What ever genius signed off on this one at Streamlight should be fired. I wound up using the “New 1″ Scope Ring Adaptor with Picatinny Rail” purchased from streamlightoutlet.com for half the price.    I initially had reservations about how sturdy this thing would be since it’s made of plastic unlike its aluminum competitors, but the age of Glock and other polymer weapons should have taught me that lesson. Once you’ve got the screws tightened down (not too much, you don’t wanna break anything), it hangs on rock solid. I’d have to say that this thing was made for Streamlight’s TLR series. Mine’s got a TLR-1 HL exactly where I need it. Installation is pretty easy if your gun isn’t super complicated. Slipping it on the mag tube of my Mossbergs and Maverick 88s was easy. Remington guns might be a little trickier especially if you’ve got the extended mag tube to play with.
