Hold great, even when Runnin' N Gunnin! Worth getting.

  • This is another great streamlight product. It’s programmable and offers high (1000 lumen), medium (350 lumen), low (65 lumen), and strobe. This is the best flashlight I’ve found for my EDC belt organizer.

I purchased this to use with my new 77550 Streamlight UltraStinger 1100 lumen flashlight. The problem is, it doesn't come with a power cord and the cord that streamlightoutlet.com recommended (Part# 22311) is only rated at 500mA. This is not enough power to charge the UltraStinger and so the charging LED gives a solid light (charging) for only 5-10 seconds then gives 3-flashes indicating an error. So I tried the USB cable option and everything worked fine. The problem with the USB method is it's much slower to charge. So, I searched streamlightoutlet.com for a more powerful charging cord and found only a 800mA cord, of which the description says will not work with the UltraStinger. So, as far as I've been able to gather, this will not fast-charge my flashlight unless I find an off-brand 12vdc power supply rated around 2 amps. So, that's what I did... Using an old laptop power cord (see pics), I soldered the wires directly to the power terminals, where they solder to the circuit board (see pics), being sure to maintain proper polarity (positive on the right, closest to the USB terminal). Everything is now working properly, no thanks to Streamlight.

  • Haven’t had it long enough to comment on battery life but it’s bright and lightweight . Use the Velcro sticky pads that came with it and it’s holding up pretty good !

  • This is one of the best pen type flashlights I've ever owned. It's bright and doesn't eat up the batteries like most. I've had the blue one for over 6 years. I lost the blue one a couple years ago. Then ordered the silver one. After the silver flashlight arrived I found the blue one in my driveway. My truck ran over it and it was sunk down in the gravel and dirt. Took it in cleaned it off and worked fine, didn't even dent it Missing about two weeks. It's lightweight and waterproof. What I liked about it is I wear overalls all the time and it fits comfortable in my bib front pocket along with my pocket knife. I always have it with me and has come in handy hundreds of times I don't leave home without it. As for buying it again, just as soon as I thought the blue one was lost I re bought the silver one. I won't go anywhere without it. It's a durable product well worth the money.

  • Better priced than anyoutfitters I've visited in my area. I was looking for a simple, inexpensive, and easy to use flashlight for my Mossberg 590A1. Initially, I was worried about how it would hold up on a pump action 12 gauge shotgun and it passed with flying colors! For my setup, I have it mounted on the left side of the shotgun's forend. I will be swapping it to the right side as the picatiny rail used to mount the light makes every shot feel awkward on my thumb. Not the light's fault. Just my poor choice of placement. For ammunition used to test durability, I fired 15 of 2 3/4 Winchester Super X 00 Buck, 15 of 3 in Federal Flite Control 00 Buck, 15 of Federal 2 3/4 Power Shok 1 oz. slugs and 100 of 2 3/4 Field and Target Multipurpose load - all of which were fired with the TLR 1 mounted and turned on. First impression Pros and Cons to follow: PROs: 1. Very Sturdy 2. Simple. Nothing too fancy or edgy. Inconspicuous. 3. Less expensive on streamlightoutlet.com. Cabela's priced it at $178.99 and would not price match with streamlightoutlet.com Prime. 4. Installment took 2 minutes or less. 5. Multiple mounting options for different types of rails. 6. Comes with tools to install. 7. Designed to hold on its own. I hand tightened it initially and followed up with a 1/8 to 1/4in turn using a coin. Held up on all my shots. No need to tighten more than that. 8. Controls are easy to manipulate. 9. Extremely bright! Even in well lit rooms, it will overpower most lights! Perfect for blinding homeinvaders (should that happen). 10. Lightweight but again... sturdy. Of course it's designed mainly for pistols so its weight is felt even less on my Mossberg 590A1. Cons (this is just me being nitpicky): 1. Battery replacement requires dismounting. However, the battery chamber and locking mechanism seems to be waterproofed and holds very well. 2. Light flickered just a tiny bit when I fired the 00 bucks and 1600fps slugs (not very noticeable). But, the light never flickered when I swapped the light onto my 9mm and 45mm pistols and when I was firing multipurpose field and target 12 gauge loads. 3. I find no purpose in the Strobe option other than in a tactical setting to help identify yourself as to other friendly maneuver... maybe blinding effect? I don't know. It's a plus to have but I find no use for it. Bottomline, great light, great price, great addition to my home defense shotgun! It's not perfect but it's up there! I hope the helps! I will update more if anything comes up the more I use the TLR-1. Good job Streamlight!

  • First Impressions: Compared to the Olight PL Turbo (800 L, 66k C) in my darkened garage, hotspots at 20' appear to be of equal diameter, but the Olight hotspot is slightly brighter w/a more defined edge (66k C vs 50k C). The Pro has a slightly wider spill but, more importantly, it's definitely brighter than the Olight's spill (1k lumens vs 800 lumens) which improves situational awareness (while not bad, I've always wanted a little more spill brightness from the Olight). When comparing the two simultaneously, I can finally see the Olight's green tint others have mentioned but I wasn't really aware of it until now. The green tint doesn't bother me, not sure what all the fuss is about. The Pro w/remote switch is about 3oz heavier than the Olight. Remote plugs seat firmly in the Pros, but not with as positive a click as w/my Streamlight TLR-1 Long Gun Kit remote plugs, we'll see if they'll dislodge over time from recoil. Ten-tap programming works as advertised, but I wish the high/low option would default to 'high' instead of 'low' when first activated as this means if you want 'high' you have to double-tap past 'low' to get there. Not good if you need 'high' RIGHT NOW. For now, mine are set on 'high' only. Mine's going on a Tavor X95 bullpup and the longer length of the Pro almost entirely eliminates bbl shadow on the X95. I also use a vfg so was pondering how best to locate the remote switch. I like having the switch on the vfg, but that can lead to accidental activations w/o a lockout feature on the light. Fortunately, a quarter turn of the tailcap deactivates the light so I'm going to experiment w/the vfg placement for now, my only other workable option is to mount the switch on the left-side picatinny rail which is doable but slightly awkward to access when using the vfg. I like the new remote switch rail clips w/the cable management built-in, it adds routing options. However, they're also a little soft, easily marred when using tools to seat them properly on the rail. It's getting cold here, but I'll see if I can get out to the 24/7 range to compare the Pro & Olight's relative throws. Is the Pro a huge upgrade over the Ologht for me? No, it isn't, the Olight is a simple, elegant & lighter weight solution for my X95 WML needs. However, the Pro does offer certain advantages like the ability to maintain full power for the entire battery runtime, less bbl shadow, better spill/situational awareness, less chance of accidental activation & Streamlight's proven track record as a decent budget WML solution. Should the Pro eventually reveal hidden flaws, I may go back to the Olight PL Turbo, but for now I like this new Streamlight and am looking forward to putting it through its paces. Five stars for now! ETA: Just finished a night shoot, the attached pic shows the 50yd target slightly to the right and the 100yd target centered in the beam. The 200yd target was visible to the eye (but not in the photo) and could be engaged w/sufficient target contrast. The HL-X Pro does a good job of burning through firing gasses and has very good spill & situational awareness. The more I use the HL-X Pro, the more I like it!

  • The department didn't issue me a light. At a recent training I found out how important it is. I saw some others with similar models of helmet lights so I got this one with a Streamlight band. It doesn't weigh very much, it's bright as can be (I don't know if somebody made a mistake but the one I received is clearly marked 200 lumen.) I haven't taken it inside a smokey environment yet to see how well it performs there. Easy to operate with heavy gloves. It may not look by the way it's sitting on the helmet but it shines directly in front. I like this method of attaching the light. Clamps seemed like they would get snagged. Like everything, time will tell. In rough environments it's going to get damaged, possibly melted, we'll see.

  • I used this on my Streamlight TLR-2 HL G. Once installed, the new remote-enabling door is great. As others have mentioned, this is only the Streamlight door and it does not include the remote switch - for me, that switch was a Streamlight Long Gun Remote 8in Tape Switch Plug Straight 69135 (for a PS90). I think it is overpriced for a piece of mostly plastic, but if you need it you need it. I wish it came with instructions or at least a link to instructions because I could not find instructions on Streamlight's site or on the tube. I ended up using 2 of my smallest allen keys (3/64" and 0.05 if I recall correctly) to work the pin out of the existing battery door in order to remove it, and then I installed the new door. The new door took a little bit of forcing it to close, but eventually it did shut. I did not lose the strobing feature or the ability to toggle between green laser only/flashlight only/laser+flashlight modes. Even though there are some negatives stated above, I am rating this as a 4 star item because it really improved the HD functionality and ergonomics of my PS90.

  • This is the second Streamlight Flashlight I am purchasing. They are the best flashlight I have ever owned. The light is very bright and I love that you can recharge it versus having to use new batteries all the time. Item arrived way ahead of the estimated delivery date.

  • This review will be posted on both streamlight and o-light product. I purchased both the Streamlight and the O-Light because I couldn't decide between which one I wanted. I always have a knife and flashlight on my person at all times so I needed it to be comfortable and usable how I want. Personally I like my flashlight to be on the outside on my back left pocket with the knife right next to it as pictured. I wanted something rechargeable, but also multiple brightness function, which I came across both streamlight and o-light. I couldn't decide which one I liked better online, so I purchased both. Streamlight- I like that it is USB C rechargeable, no matter where I go finding a charger for this will be easy. I like the brightness of both low and turbo mode, however, it seems to scatter the light in the foreground a little too much for my liking. It fits in the hand well, but at the same time is a little too long. I don't typically carry a flashlight the way it is designed so for me that is a negative, along with how it sticks out of my pocket when on the left side. O-Light- I really like how this flashlight has so many different modes, multiple brightness settings, a laser, and also has a lockout mode to keep it from turning on accidentally in your pocket. The light throw on this flashlight is also good, however scatters a little further out in the foreground then I like also. The size is perfect for a back pocket, as shown in pictures and fits in the hand great. The only negative about this flashlight for me is the magnetic base charger, if I forget to take it with me on a trip, it breaks or i lose it, finding one in a store is probably going to be impossible. 2 great products, and I'm sure depending on the person one will lean either way. I personally like the O-Light better, however will keep the streamlight as a backup. I have had both for a little over a week now to do fair review of each.

Fits perfect on the top of my streamlight with no issues, when the lights on you differently get the feeling that your holding a light sabre. Im hoping now that when I work a traffic crash someone will actually see what direction I'm telling them to go, but hey that's asking alot.

  • It's bright for only 170 lumens, beam reaches just as far as my 500 lumen strion hl, I jb weld a magnetic base to the bottom, and using a 17670 battery which gives longer run time, never had so much use out of a flashlight being a mechanic and under the hood or vehicle most of the time, both pocket and c clip on the back work well also, I would recommend to anyone especially for a good EDC. Also I lubed the threads and got oil on the rubber o ring and it expanded so watch out for that.

  • Compact, easy-on & easy-off, bright light with a strong core pattern (no dead spots), solid construction, and all a good price. I love it. Bought a few. Far superior to the "Glock OEM Tac Light Xenon 6V Lithum." I love Glock (have been shooting them for decades), so no "hater" here. But their flashlight sucks. Dim yellow bulb, dead spot on the center, and the whole unit has a longer over-all length (OAL) than this Streamlight TRL-3. I've tested this light on a long-slide Glock, compact Glock, HK VP9, and CZ P-09. Works great on all of them. Just swap-out the adapters. One minor complaint: The switch rocks both ways, but only locks one way. It's definitely meant for a right-hand shooter to put activate the switch by pushing down on the right side lever. Pushing up on the left side lever is not ergonomic nor intuitive. Bought one for a CZ P-09 and one for an HK VP9. See the attached picture for how the light looks on a VP9. Also, I compared the Streamlight 69220 TLR-3 with the Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 and you can see the result below (the TLR-1 is on the left and slightly brighter, and the TLR-3 is on the right). For a compact pistol I'd go with the TLR-3. For a full-size or long-slide pistol, I'd go with the TLR-1.
