Great flashlight. Just got to make sure the tops your batteries aren't old and squashed in. There's a thick rubber ring where the positive end makes contact. Guessing it's so you don't destroy it when you drop it.

Got this looking for a rechargeable EDC light, and I'm still undecided if I like it for my needs. I was comparing it to a Surefire E2DL 200 lumen (from about 2009-2010) flashlight. Attached are photos from a camera in manual-exposure mode to get identical brightness approximating real life comparing my old Surefire light to this Streamlight aimed at a fence about 120 feet away behind a shed. I compared with the camera zoomed out (to see the whole yard) and zoomed in (to focus on how well the fence is illuminated). Good: -Simple UI, comes on super bright first click every time, off-on again to get dim -microUSB charge port (which is nicely protected by sliding cover) -Decent runtime (~2 hours high) -Wide beam pattern good for up close flood illumination -Internal Lithium Ion battery is actually replaceable, tailcap unscrews to reveal 3.7V 800mAh Li-Ion battery Bad: -Wider beam than I like means shorter throw -To get back to "high" brightness from "low" mode you have to leave it off for a couple seconds -Tail button is not recessed, easy to bump -Unsure if battery is generic or Streamlight specialty (appears to have extra contact at front of light?) -When battery runs out, it just shuts off abruptly (vs some that switch to low). Probably not a big deal if you charge every night after use. Conclusion: This is nice, light, easy to use - but I wish the beam pattern was tighter for long distance use.

Item listing pictures shows swivel head ,lamp cover & led bulb. What you get is led Bulb only.

I've owned and used many different WML's over the years (Surefire, Inforce, Streamlight, Olight, etc.) and have always found Streamlight to be the best value for an affordable & decently rugged light. One of my previous Streamlights was the original TLR RM2 w/its 1k lumens & 10k candela output. While a great light in its own right (love the trim & low profile design), I found the 10k candela a bit on the weak side for my needs. Enter the new TLR RM2, now with an improved mount and 22k candela. The new mount, while perhaps not quite as easy to attach & detach as the original (you do have to be careful not to strip the new RM2's bolt heads w/the 5/64" hex wrench), is definitely stronger w/a longer rail grabber section and two bolts instead of one. Once firmly attached, it's going to take a very strong kinetic impact to break that mount. Streamlight lists the IPX rating as IPX7, but that's w/o using the remote switch (which lowers it to IPX4, you can't get something for nothing), that's good enough for anything I'm likely to encounter. Pro tip when using the remote switch: When you remove the rubber remote switch port plug to insert the remote switch plug, there's a small gap under the rear of the light over a few picatinny rail sections. If you have excess cable to manage, you can weave the cable in and out of those picatinny rail sections under the gap, to be held in place by the rear of the RM2 when you mount it. Minor complaint: I have no need for the programmable strobe feature, but while experimenting found it very difficult to do the 10 1/4 second switch taps to change the programming. The light body itself appears very strong & durable, usual Streamlight quality. The 1/4 turn lockout feature on the bezel is excellent, and you can change batteries by completely unscrewing the bezel w/o removing the light from the firearm. I did a side-by-side comparison w/an Olight PL Turbo (800 lumens, 66k candela), both in my garage and at the range. Inside the garage it's obvious how much more peripheral spill the Streamlight has over the Olight which translates into better situational awareness (both lights aimed at the furnace on the left, notice the difference in spill on the right). At the range, the Olight has the advantage at distance, but again the advantage of the Streamlight's wider/stronger peripheral spill is obvious. Both lights are aimed at the 100yd target w/the 50yd target slightly to the right and the 200yd target in the distance. Even with only 1/3 the Olight's candela, the Streamlight looks to be good to at least 100yds (note: range pics taken on different days, the Streamlight pic was taken shortly after raining so there's moisture haze visible in the photo). The more I use the RM2, the more impressed I am by the great combination of features and performance. My only question at the moment is whether or not it's safe to use 16650 rechargeable batteries in the RM2. Others have tried it and say it's safe but Streamlight told me 'no rechargeable batteries of any kind' in the RM2. Regardless, I give the RM2 a full 5 stars, another hit out of the park for Streamlight! ETA: Did another night shoot, biggest takeaway was the difference in effective spill at distance. Two target stands appx 25' apart at 100yds. With the Olight focused on one stand, the other was not visible despite being in the Olight's spill zone. With the Streamlight TLR RM2 focused on one stand, the other was dim but clearly visible. As someone else has stated, "I *want* candela for distance, but I *need* sufficient spill for situational awareness."

Get scratch easy , the flashlight is not ship why don’t include the bottom cap switch it doesn’t cost much and the buyers felt better with the cost of the flashlight

These are amazing lights that fit the M590 Shockwave very snug (if you use the correct install tool, pictured) it sits about twice as low as the OEM grip. Be aware, I paid full retail price for this yet streamlightoutlet.com sent me a VERY used one Mine did NOT come with batteries, instalation tools, warranty information, instruction booklet, StreamLight sticker etc or in OEM retail packaging. streamlightoutlet.com just sold me this super beat up flashlight that in a plastic bag. With a lovely sticker thanking me. I wouldnt have issue with that but this light clearly had corroded batteries that leaked in it at some point. This passed streamlightoutlet.com QC somehow so buyer be-warned.

Negligence or incompetent. Counting 1, 2 doesn't represent 12.

I ordered this to try as a cheap ENT headlight for use in the Emergency Department for nosebleeds and the like, coupled with a Nite-Ize headstrap. Previously I bought and still use a Streamlight 71600 Jr. Reach LED 115-Lumen Handheld Flashlight With Flexible Extension Cable which is ideal and much brighter (115 vs 11 lumens), but no longer made. I compared this light with a Lisle 35900 LED Flexible Flashlight that I got from streamlightoutlet.com to compare. They are both very similar. Advantage of the Lisle over this Streamlight: takes AAA size battery cells and you can put AAA lithium cells in it: compared to alkaline cells, last longer, work better in the cold, and unlike alkaline cells, will not leak and corrode inside the light. The Streamlight takes AAAA cells, which are only available as alkaline cells. Advantages of the Streamlight: slightly cheaper, the flexible wand is easier to position right where you want it without it drifting, has a pocket clip to secure it in the Nite-Ize headband, and is slightly brighter in direct comparison. I ended up going with the Streamlight.

This is a 10 yr old (bought 2014 from streamlightoutlet.com) battery that came in Streamlight Strion LED HL. It runs at full brightness until it dies, no dimming algorithm (verified with lux meter) but this is probably light specific not battery related. Other review pics say 9.5wH but this ones only ~7.5…which runs on high for 2+ hours. Take less than 2 hours to charge in flashlight cradle charger and I have about 40-50 cycles so far. Made in Korea assembled in China and I’d buy both the light and battery again in a heartbeat.

AMAZING LIGHT!! However if u r looking for the USB charger that it shows in the picture to use in a charging block or a car charger it won't work. It is fixed to the ac adapter.

This is perfect for my shield plus! Love it

the people at Streamlight don't mess around. This is a great weapon light/laser combination. Rugged build and quality electronics make this a reliable rail accessory. On thing though, the rail clamp doesn't sit all the way on my handgun rail. But i'm sure that in most handguns that's not an issue.

Let me start by saying I love this light for what it is! It’s too big for an edc light, but not so huge that it can be taken along and tucked away in the car, backpack, nightstand, etc…so it’s a wash. Brightness, yeah it’s bright. Really bright. Not sure why you would need much more out of a light like this, and in close quarters it can be a little too much. Strobe setting works well, and is a nice touch, but I would rather have a setting at half power or something like that, to conserve battery life. And the one negative…battery life/battery style. Obviously to get the 600 lums it takes a good battery (2 actually) and they don’t last all that long…I left it on while I was working on my bathroom for about 40minutes and that was that. $15 for another couple of 123A’s. So a rechargeable option would be great, although that would make the waterproofing a nightmare I’m sure. And the last note, waterproofing/resistance. In spades. I’ve used this in the pouring rain, submerged (accidentally) while working on my washing machine, and have not seen a single issue. All in all a good light, and I’m glad I own it.

Just recieved mine today..wow! Been playing with it ever since..Plenty bright, feels solidly built/made..Now lets see if it can survive a weld/fabrication shop atmosphere..i will update once it gets some hardcore use 😁 4 stars for now

Be aware, this order is for the lens ONLY! NOT the whole housing. Very misleading! I now have to order the housing, AGAIN!
