It is sooooo small! You guys i though it was gonna be at least the size of my pinky finger but its smaller than that. Besides that its really cute.

So, to clear up any confusion, I can say for certain that this replacement button DOES work with the metal Streamlight Stinger DS LED flashlight. Also, the only tools I used were a small Phillips head screwdriver and some fine point needle nose pliers. The pliers were just to put in the small holes to screw out the metal ring that holds the LED assembly in and the screwdriver was for the two small screws that hold in the LED assembly and also act as the charger contacts. If you’re at least slightly mechanically inclined you can figure this one out. Picture is of the flashlight with the model and S/N visible after the replacement with this item’s packaging that shows the part number and the two tools I used. My only complaint was the price was higher than listed other places online, but probably right in line after shipping from the other vendors. And we’re talking about $5 after tax. It beats buying a new light and isn’t bad for having been through 3 years of heavy use.

I purchased this in Oct of 2023; so, it's been less than a year. Regarding the actual flashlight: it's not a daily user & it hangs in my garage between uses. That being said, I'd say this flashlight itself is outstanding & Id give it 5 stars if not for the following issue: The rubber hexagonal ring around the for end just decided to surrender ... & one day when I went out to use it; the ring had split completely thru. This may seem insignificant, but for two reasons I believe it's meaningful: (1) that rubber hex-ring stopped the flashlight from rolling away when placed on a flat surface. (2) if this rubber hex-ring was made of such inferior materials (to not last a year; with minimal use) . . . which of the flashlights internal materials are similarly made. I did attempt to submit feedback directly to Streamlight (on their website); however, I wasn't able to find a location to submit feedback. So, if you can do w/out the rubber hex; it's an outstanding flashlight. Hope this is helpful . . .

5/5, would buy again, recommend to others. I bought this because I wanted a light on my full-sized Kimber that wasn't bulky and wasn't prohibitively expensive. I was initially reluctant to order this because other buyers said it was difficult to put on or that they had other issues. My light arrived on time, it had everything needed to put it into immediate operation. I think start to finish it was eight minutes, with most of the time spent unscrewing and re-screwing the three allen screws holding everything together. Fits tight, looks good. If I have any issues when I take it to the range I'll come back up on the net. Otherwise, the five star rating stands. There is noticeable barrel shadowing with my gun. I imagine if this was on a compact there would be little to none. The attached picture is at about four feet. Across the room it's a lot less conspicuous. I love the way I can index the light with my finger on the way to the trigger. Good work, Streamlight.

Four more weeks and it would be a year. The LED bulb (not positive that's the correct name) fell off. Only owned the light for 11 months. The light was only used for 4 1/2 months. You would be lucky if it was used for 3 hours a day. I work in an engine room and it's used mainly for looking around at equipment. A lot of on and off. We will see how there warranty works. update. The company replaced the flashlight no question asked. I have been using streamlight flashlights for for around 18 years and this is the first time a have had a problem. It's nice to find a company that honors there warranty. I Would recommend.

So far, so good! Just got it in the mail yesterday and it works just like my original battery that came with my Streamlight Stinger DS that I've had since 2008! I'll update if anything changes! It's now June 28th 2023 and this sucker is still going strong just like the original 2008 battery. Hardly ever have to charge it! I'll update again in 6 months or so!

Couldn’t be more disappointed with this flashlight. Honestly delivery was on time no issues with streamlightoutlet.com. Product arrived in the original packaging but it looked like someone had taken a bite out of the top left corner. Was anxious to see it work but it arrived with a completely dead battery and needed to be charged first. Charged the battery all night got up in the morning popped the battery in and it doesn’t light up. After messing around with the end cap I noticed it would light up if you would loosen the cap to the point it’s almost falling off. I bought an Olight and returned it due to a torture test comparison video on YouTube. The Olight was completely out performed by Streamlight unfortunately never had a chance to experiment with the light. It’s going back!! Update less than a week after receiving the first dead Streamlight my replacement came in. I charged the battery all night and first thing in the morning put the battery in and received the same result. Flashlight will not turn on completely dead. Contacted Streamlight and they will try to make this right. Very Disappointed!! While it’s the perfect size light I have little faith in the company and their products now. And to think they were so highly recommended to begin with I would have never thought this would be an issue. FYI if you just return it to streamlightoutlet.com it’s faster and free. Going directly to Streamlight has cost me an additional $13.80 for shipping. Somehow I don’t believe this expense should be passed onto the consumer as it’s not my fault the product was dead on arrival. Now I would understand if you’re returning for a repair after years of use but this charge was icing on the cake at this point. Double thumbs down to this point.

It is an EDC light, the clip is used to hold it on the pocket of jeans. Movement loosened the cap and it fell off. The clip works. The photo of this part is misleading just the clip not the cap, keep looking.

You can press and hold the light on by pushing down the top button, or if you rotate the black top clockwise and it will stay on by itself. I like this because it won't accidentally turn on and kill the battery in a bag or pocket. The red color is cool. The light is very bright. Will leave a bit of an after burn if you look directly at it for a while (or if you use it on a patient in a clinical setting). There's a "glare guard protector" included. Not sure what it really does.

This fits the Stinger LED DS tightly. Very visible. Perfect for the flashlight.

I've had lot's of their lights and this one is one of my least favorites. The switch, as opposed to a button, is not a good option. It's harder to use but it also come on in my pocket a lot. You know it's on when it starts burning. It's melted a couple of pairs of shorts. I'm sure it's great for tactically blinding people but way way way too bright on low for normal use like to see a menu, light up a lock, read something, find something in a darker room, etc. It blinds you and others. A cover for the charge port would be good and the clip should double as a hat clip. It's tough and the charge is good but outside of purely tactically blinding aggressors, I'll purchase a different one.

Posting a new review after realizing I didn't attach this correctly. That being said, the fit is not perfect, so I am rating at 4 stars. This is a great light/laser combo for the money. I used my dremel tool to remove the peaks at the base of the trigger guard that prevented a correct fit. It fits perfectly now and I am happy with the product. Hopefully the picture will help.

I attached this light with the assistance of a Nickel (not tool installation is a feature), to the bottom of my 5.25" Springfield XDM. The light fits perfectly. The light can be used in two modes, continuous on and temporary on by simply rocking the switch either clockwise or counter-clockwise respectively. The switch mechanism is sturdy and feels really good to the touch. The overall light construction is extremely durable. I am impressed. Is it bright? Yeah...I'm pretty sure when I shined it up in the air that alien lifeforms mistook it for a distant star. Okay, that might not be true, but I use this light for home defense and it will absolutely light even a large room completely with a very bright, white light. Clearing hallways and small rooms is not an issue. Being on the other end of this light would be blinding to say the least. Outdoor performance is excellent as well and the Streamlight casts a great field of view. Will easily light up a small yard. Pics show it mounted on my XDM as well as 20 foot projection in bedroom, showing both long light and center beam brightness. Love this light! Will be buying other products from Streamlight for sure!

EDC. I've carried this one for over 20 years. I use it more than my EDC knife. I always have a spare in case I lose it. It gets used every day... maybe because I have old eyes! I love that it's AAA and not rechargeable. I can instantly have a fresh battery and be good to go. That also means there is no internal battery to degrade. If I don't lose it, it will last almost forever. It's not super bright, but the size is perfect for EDC. It's constantly used to see dark spots (under the hood, down a water valve access pipe, you name it). It has also got me walked out of the boonies at 2am after a trail bike crash. I can't recommend it enough.
