Used? The silicon cap and charger have debries all over them and the box looked like it may have been open

Best flashlight streamlight or nothing

This replacement cap is perfect for my work rifle and what I'm using it for. The only complaint is that it did not come with the pin I highlighted in my picture. I had to pull the pin out of the original tail cap and use that one. Not a deal breaker, but it should be in the description and this product would've gotten 5 stars.

This is one of the more versitile lights I’ve owned and I’ve had many over the years. This is a daily carry light for me and I generally pull it off my belt for use at least once daily. I love the fact that if I’m out of CR123 batteries that I can just pop in a AA and I’m back in business. I lost this light a month ago and gave up hope after retracing my steps on the day of the loss. I ordered an Olight to replace my missing sidewinder and on the very day my new light arrived I found my missing sidewinder outside on my dirt/gravel driveway. The belt clip was bent a little and I could tell it had probably been ran over several times but to my surprise it still works perfectly. The sidewinder in my opinion is a very well made product and I feel my investment was worth the price I paid.

Bought 2 of these lights and there are different light temperature outputs as seen from the image. The left side TLR-3 has a higher/whiter color temp whereas the right side has a more yellow color temp. Swapped batteries and same output.

Great light all around.... good throw, bright and compact. Use the streamlight batteries to get optimal performace. Only complaint is it does get really hot. Might not cause burns to your skin, but it does get uncomfortably warm on the top of the light. I use my on a radio strop so I personally don't care how hot it gets.

I have to start with this is a great product. Very bright light and strong lazer. I paired this light with the stream light rechargeable battery which seemed to increase brightness and longevity significantly. I unfortunately have to say that although I initially was very pleased with the purchase, I had a bad reliability experience. The second time at the range and ~150 rounds after install the light fell off of my gun. Upon further inspection I found out that the screw that holds the device secure in place on the rail had snapped at the tip and broke. I have attached pictures. Now I can no longer install the WML onto the gun, and for the price I would not expect this type of failure. This is a great product but I am disappointed that cheap hardware will prevent me from being able to use it.

The light itself is great. Red, white, blue, IR with dimmer for each. Bends to either side, and the clip is reversible so you can put the button on either side. My issue is the clip itself. It's like a chincy little belt clip. It fits in molle webbing, but it's not snug and secure. I tied paracord around the molle and through the clip in case it falls off during training. Really disappointed a company as good as streamlight would put that trash clip on such a well designed light.

After a successful midnight winter summit of Mt. Washington, my friend and I began our descent. With no warning, the sustained ~45 mph winds suddenly turned into ~70-80 mph sustained, with occasional higher gusts at the leading edge of an incoming storm front. The temp was somewhere around -20º with wind chill. We were prepared and perfectly warm, but we were being knocked around by the wind quite a bit. In an effort to evacuate the frozen, wind-swept, and highly exposed mountain face, we quickly began our decent down the Tuckerman Ravine trail...except we wanted to be on Lion's Head trail. We realized our mistake when we found ourselves ledged-up with sheer cliffs in front of us. We had no climbing rope, only crampons and ice axes. I knew we had to go back up the way we came and we'd bisect the trail we wanted. It was at that moment that I realized why people die every year on this mountain. With the ferocious winds now at our backs, I turned the headlamp on it's 1000lm brightness setting and it illuminated everything up to about 300 meters away and I was able to spot our correct location and make it there. Needless to say, we survived, but having this headlamp certainly made the difference. I otherwise ran it on the lowest setting for the entirety of our climb and it was far more than sufficient. Everything, including the battery life of this light is beyond sufficient for anything you could possibly need it for I'll never use another headlamp again (except for a future upgrade of this one). I have been a fan of Streamlight's wide variety of products since my days as a first responder in the late 90s-early 2000s. This is the third Streamlight headlamp I have owned and it overachieves in every category. Buying this light is a no-brainer. Just a tip: buy an extra battery so one is always charged. Maximum performance is achieved with this light's proprietary battery, though it will also run on 1x 18650 battery.

Purchased for my work shotgun, I've been using streamlight products for a few years nowand have liked the stingers (duty belt) and the ProTac HL (AR weapon light) The ProTac has held up to three years of recoil as a weapon light and the Stinger has gone in the water a few times, dropped countless times and broken a couple of car windows (with the "bust a cap" glass breaker tail end). I can't speak for the Railmounts durability but looking at their other products I don't think it will be a problem. What I like, affordable - compare this to a sure fire and streamlight is much more affordable. Remote pressure pad, using this on my patrol shotgun so the light is mounted on the forend via rail on a magpu on the right side, (sling does not interfere with light)l and the pressure switch on the left. Large momentary on is easy to find with the thumb and the raised clicker on/off is also easy to find. Operates just like all the other 10 click programmable streamlights, its nice to use three lights that all operate the same. Cons, disappointed streamlight did not make a remote switch that worked with the whole ProTac line. The HL is 100 more lumens and being a normal flashlight you can adjust the position of the mount with a one inch ring, with the rail mount since the mount is part of the body you are stuck with the factory position and cannot move the light backwards or forwards in the mount. Fixed cord length, cord does not plug in and out like the TLR line so if the cord is too short or too long tough or get creative with a soldering gun to splice a wire unlike the tlr that has various lengths for sale even offering a bungee coil. Mounting the switch, the product comes with zipties, 3m double sided tape and two rubber rail mounts. My shotgun is for professional duty use zipties and tape do not scream reliable or professional to me, I used the the rubber rail mounts, someone answered the question above stating a seven rail section is needed to mount, not true. I initially used a seven rail and was three rails short, the robber overhanged and I was not impressed with its ability to hold the switch in place. An 11 rail section is one too long but I will be damned if I can find an even numbered section of rail. Here is hoping the switch will stay attached coming in and out of the patrol car in a hurry and getting things pushed against it during training and game time. I hope streamlight will get Magpul's attention and they make a mount, their surefirem switch mounts are rock solid. To summarize Streamlight historically has good durability and I have no doubt this will match its reputation, good value buy at a little more than $100 should make this an affordable light, brightness is fine for working indoors, its fine outdoors with my shotgun but the HL throws out a much brighter and longer light glad the HL is my rifle light and the railmoun is on the shotgun. Cors length is what you get and it appears to replace any broken parts you will need to call and ask Streamlight for a new cord since they do not sell it separately. WIsh the pressure switch had a rail mount system more rubost than the flexible rubber system they have now, 10 rail sections needed for mount six will get you there but it will over hang and not be very secure.

I like the quality of the flashlight.. only negative about it is that it feels like you’re going to break the charger when putting it in, you have to use some force. Overall, i do recommend! I use it for automotive purposes.

Stream light stinger is best flashlight by far. I work in automotive industry and it’s my everyday flashlight. My button has torn but they have a lifetime warranty with no proof of purchase. Just send in and get back new again. Love my stream light stinger!

Great flashlight, super bright, perfect size would definitely buy another one

Well it’s sad to say after 8 years of carrying this thing around every day with replacement of 3 buttons and 1 battery my trusty steed of a flashlight stoped working for good I’ve never owned such a good reliable product in my life as it’s out with the old in with the new I can only hope that this new one will last just as long with the abuse my old one has taken over the years
