I carry a Streamlight Protac HL flashlight for my work in construction. This holster is the best one I've found to carry it, but that isn't saying much. I'm about to order my sixth one. It does the job, but they don't last long - generally about a year and a half with almost daily use. I'm not rough on them; I'm actually quite careful with my gear, so my experience is probably a best-case scenario. Pros: - Lightweight. - Protects lens and body of flashlight. - Has opening in bottom so dirt and debris don't collect there. Cons: - Velcro flap closure quickly wears out and loses its stickiness. - Belt loop is prone to tearing away from back of holster when stitching fails. - Price keeps going up, with no corresponding increase in quality. The photo shows one of these holsters at the end of its life, after about 18 months of regular, gentle use. Belt loop is tearing off, velcro no longer sticking. I wish Streamlight would come up with a more durable version of this, perhaps with a snap closure instead of velcro, and better stitching to secure the belt loop. They do make a rugged-looking "Duty Holster" that might be suitable for law enforcement use, but it provides little protection for the flashlight body and none for the lens. Streamlight, are you listening? You make a great flashlight, now how about a decent holster? You can do better than this.

Battery has sucked sense i bought it. Charger has always sucked & been loose sometimes wouldnt charge with certain cords (the one it comes with quit working almost immediately). Today the charge port fell inside the light so its a dud. Magnet is strong, swivel is nice stays in the position you place it. 3 light settings are decent for a small light. Wouldnt buy again due to my issues with Charger. Have other streamlight products so had high hopes. But not impressed with this one.

Love these, I have a few of them. I decided to do the fixed light rather than the one that pulls out . I use it in my fire fighter helmets. Easy to turn on even with gloves on.

Fantastic flashlight! I'm an airline pilot and was looking for a portable, discreet flashlight that can easily be put in a full flight bag, yet has a high power, quality beam for doing "walk arounds". The Streamlight 74751 far and away exceeded my expectations (and they were high, after reading reviews). The flashlight has a very powerful (yet adjustable) beam in a very small, compact design (fits easily in pant pockets). Some of the main benefits that I think stand out and should be mentioned are: - Very powerful beam, especially considering its it's very compact size! (the entire light easily fits inside a pocket, unless you wear skinny jeans) - Metal housing, yet is lighter than it looks. - 3 beam brightness settings, in addition to a strobe setting. - Pressing the power button lightly (without "clicking" it on) turns on the light temporarily (momentary switch), then immediately turns off when you lift your finger off the button. I find this a fantastic feature for walk arounds when you're in and out of dark spots you need to illuminate, without the constant wear and tear of "clicking" on and off. The box includes the flashlight, recharging base (clamps the flashlight onto the charging contacts), AC power adapter (to charge at home, etc), and a DC car power outlet adapter. The latter 2 adapters plug into a universal socket on the recharging base. All in all, a fantastic flashlight that I highly recommend. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. The only down side is possibly the price, but then again, you do get what you pay for (which I've found out several times over with other flashlights).

THIS DOES NOT COME WITH DUAL SWITCHES!!!!! IT IS CAPABLE, HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BUY THE TAIL END SWITCH SEPARATELY!!!! VERY MISLEADING!!! STREAMLIGHT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE ONLY FLASHLIGHT OUR FAMILY BUYS, BUT AFTER THIS⦠WE ARE CONSIDERING GOING WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND FROM NOW ON!! A BRAND THAT IS STRAIGHT FORWAD!! VERY ANGRY WITH THIS PURCHASE, IT WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY DAD!!!

2-year review: STILL my #1 EDC flashlight! I wish I could give 10β's out of 5 because I would. From the insane durability to the high quality case and body; to the rechargeable battery to the perfect fit! ππ½ This hits every mark I had and some I didn't even know I needed. I work in a rehabilitation center and regularly get called to search for "contraband" in tight places. This little guy has never failed me. It is so bright I often only need the low setting to get done what needs done. The charge lasts for hours -even on high! Overall I have no complaints. The only slightly negative thing about it, and this is just preference- is the micro USB instead of the USB-C connection. But I bought this over 2 years ago so it may have been updated since. The brightness is 5β, weight is perfect and case(body) is durable metal, also 5β. The kicker for me is how compact it is for such a great, would, rechargeable EDC flashlight. 10β/5ππ½

No button on the back end. The ad said there would be one. Boo.

Works well! Super bright and stands out! Perfect for directing traffic at night time

I've attached pictures under images for this light from snapping pics on a football field. The beam throw is amazing! I use this as a LEO and it is perfect for duty. It is light, solid (Like a PR-24 baton) and rechargeable. The beam throw will surprise you and will go further than your eyes can see (perfect to spot someone from a very far distance). My partners have been surprised at how light and easy it is to function. If you are LE or want a light that will show you a threat from 400 yards, this is the flashlight for you! Cheap price but not cheaply made. I love streamlight and 100% recommend this product.

I loved this thing so much i bought protac 2.0. Unfortunately streamlight doesnt make a charger dock for this head lamp and it really makes me sad, cuz i also use it after work in the winter hours to walk my dog chop fire wood and work around the house. I really wish there was a battery dock for strion style batteries.

Its great product and the right part

These things are awesome, I bought 2 for a light on both sides of my hard hat, I use an MSA full brim hard hat with the slots on either side of the hard hat, these go into the slots SOLID and hold my flashlights great! My only concern is that they are made of plastic, and I'm worried they will break on me, they seem very sturdy, so as long as you're not banging your hard hat around or dropping it they should last.

This is the 3rd or 4th spotlight I have purchased. I also have a smaller one from stream light Macrostream as a backup that puts out 1/2 the power but can clip to a ball cap. 1st two flash lights I have given away as a thankyou gift to co-workers that were interested in the light. Biggest thing with the last one was I charged the light without it being totally dry and I burned out 1/2 the usb C port so I can only charge with the charger in one way. Luckily it has protection to stop charging if something is wrong but this is something to keep in mind if you use this light as a daily driver. This light works Excellent for me shipboard wise as a watchstander for me for intermittent use not as a lantern. I care more about seeing my surrounding clearly vs battery life. I've never had the battery run our on me standing 8-12 hr. watches even if I forget to charge it once a day. This is a worthwhile investment to keep comfort because it's slim and powerful. As stated in the instructions, naturally it will get hot fast but not too bad for me as I've kept it on sometimes in my pocket but that will drain the battery for 15 minutes of straight use. This is used for me a spotlight, not a lantern. Get something else if your concerned about 24/7 visible viewing. Only thing I wish was better was the rope that comes with it and the clip had a bend to attach to hats or some sort of magnetic base. I'll still give it 5/5

(TLR-2 HL red laser review) This is a great laser/light combo. I purchased it primarily for the 800 lumen light, but the laser is an added plus. I'm using it on a 1911 platform. Pros: Very easy installation EXTREMELY bright LED light Strobe function (push temporary wing down (or up depending on side) twice within half a second and hold) Laser holds zero surprisingly well Cons: Windage/elevation screws strip easily Windage/elevation screws get misthreaded when adjusting sometimes --Misthreading happened to me a number of times, but I was able to force the screw out and realign it The device is quite wide The TLR-2 is an expensive piece of kit, but it's worth the money. Quality build, stellar customer service, and ease of use make it a no-brainer for those looking for a light/laser combo. Don't waste your money on $600 laser/light combos -- get this one. I've heard the green light is even better than the red, but I've had no issues with the red at all. If you have the money to purchase the TLR-2, I would look no further. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted a reasonably priced rail mount light. I've used Surefire Scout lights in the Army, and they're incredible, but also incredibly expensive. I shopped around and found a different brand light that was incredibly cheap from a popular optics/accessories retailer and decided to order it. The light came, and I was immediately disappointed with it. What I should have done in the first place is ordered the Streamlight Pro Tac Rail Mount 1. After realizing that the light I bought had a feature that was incredibly bizarre, and completely counter intuitive, and the tape switch mount was sub par at best, I got on streamlightoutlet.com and ordered the Streamlight. Most online reviews from the "Tacti-cool" gear crowd regard Streamlight products as a great alternative to Surefire. I agree. The Streamlight puts out 350 lumens of good light with a CR123 battery. If you're planning on using it for a home defense gun, 350 lumens is plenty for everything but a 20,000 square foot mansion with 100' long hallways. In most homes, it's enough light to do what it's intended to do, which is identify threats in a darkened area. I haven't tested the light output while using a AA battery, which this light can also accept, which is a huge bonus, since AA batteries are the most common type of battery, and much less expensive than CR123s. The light output would obviously be less with a double A, but they're far more widely available in any given area. The Streamlight also comes with a dual function tape switch, integral rail mount, and accessories to mount the tape switch to a rail, or if you prefer, it has a standard push button tail cap. The added accessories are a nice touch, and the tape switch mounting system is good, but not great. I opted to upgrade with the money I saved by purchasing this light to get a rock solid Cloud Defensive tape switch mount (pictured). The Cloud Defensive mount is highly recommended, as is the light.
