Battery covering is tough to get open forbthe first time but overall a good buy. Havent gotten a chance to test battery life yet

  • Perfect compact and lightweight light. Fits perfect in vest and can be used without pointing it at what your looking at if in a dark area. Also brightness is nice and love that it has a magnetic base.

  • It's a stream light so you can already expect the quality to be there, so no problems on that part. The only problem is when I opened the streamlightoutlet.com packaging I can tell that the product was used and not brand new which I am kind of upset about, you can tell there's scratches on the tightening bolt and the original packaging was already opened. But besides that minor detail everything that was included came and seems to be functioning as intended. As far as longevity I am completely unsure of since it seemed to be used and returned already.

This is amazing light! I got this last year as a gift for the holidays and very soon after mounted this in the trunk of my SUV. The charging cradle has a red led light to signify it is charged or charging, and I can see that red Led glowing the back of my SUV as I drive at night. That light reminds me that I have a tool to use when its night and hard to see. I use this more often than I would care to admit, but just know that it works perfectly each and every time, and can honestly say that even with how much I use the light, I have never had to swap batteries in the middle of use. The throw on this is very good and lights up a decent amount short range with a good flood light area. Overall, it has an excellent throw that very few lights can master. It has never died on me and thanks to the charging cradle being in my car, I always have it on hand fully charged. This light may be a pretty penny, but I can say it will last you and work exactly as you want it to. This should be the primary light you use. I used this light originally when I worked with a Private security company, and the local police had the exact same light as their duty lights. Since I used it working as security and seeing how good of a light it was then as well as seeing local law enforcement praise it as well, I just knew I needed to get this exact same light to keep in my car for my own personal use. You will not be upset with this light, I promise you that.

  • It is very nice and works great, but it's a lie that it does not roll when you set it down on a slight lean fast, quick, or normal speed. Unless you set it down very gently it will roll on an uneven surface almost every time, but at that point you can do that with every flashlight if you set it down gently, so why pay more for a flat-handle flashlight? The ergonomic sucks for me, and I have big enough hands. I catch myself having to reposition my hands every time. On normal deployment my hand lands short from the button, and I have to reposition to grab it comfortably and reach the dang button. As for the rear button, I prefer to have it upside-down with the beam switch facing the floor for better ergonomics. The problem with that is that whether it is right or upside-down, my finger is always in a slanted position, and it's not straight on the groove, so its a little uncomfortable to push the button because it's indented in the groove. If i place my thumb on the rear grove to press the button like they expect you the handle is uncomfortable because the flat handle is on an angle at that point. FYI, this model loses the strobe light. I know it sound like I'm crying a lot, but i use my equipment a lot and expect it to be durable comfortable. So for all the pro's, I love the brand and have other Streamlights flashlight because of their durability and easy compatible charging system. I love that i do not have to warry about plastics falling off because the need of opening them to charge the light or that fact that most stop working after a fall or sudden impact. These are very durable and made to last. You can buy one and last year's with it rather than buying cheap flashlights every few months or paying for batteries every time. This is a brand that will last, and you will probably like it so much that you will keep buying this brand in the future. I have not given up on this model, and I'm hoping I can get used to it. If I don't, It would still be used in my bug-out bag, and it would be replaced with one of my other Streanlights models.

  • I keep it in my tool bag; it gets used multiple times per day. Very bright; in fact, I usually use it in low-beam mode. I have bought many as gifts as well, which were appreciated. Pro tip: Keep one at your bedside and in your glove box. You never know. . .

  • Headlamp broke within 3 weeks. The battery clip broke while installing new batteries and I had to tape together with duct tape so the batteries wouldn't fall out. Its poorly made.

  • Uhhhhhh, my wife ordered this for me, and I was so excited until I opened it. It’s used and repacked as new. And not just a little used. A lot use. Scratched and chipped all over and a shaded lens. Nice work. Appreciate it.

  • Streamlight is my company of choice when in the market for a tactical light/laser combo. I received delivery the following day. Great job streamlightoutlet.com. The price was fair. Know to streamlight. The light was very easy to install. You really don't need to read the instructions Manual to figure it out. It fit very snug (just how I like it) on my Kahr CW9. When attached, it doesn't move or wiggle at all. It's like it's fixed to the actual gun. What else I like about the streamlight line, they made sure to allow battery access without disassembling the unit. And it even comes with batteries. Major plus! They allow provide you with the tool for installation and adjusting the laser for accuracy. i couldn't be more happier with streamlight/streamlightoutlet.com.

Absolutely garbage, like everything else stream light makes. I used the TLR 1 with the stock switch on a pistol. After about 1,00 rounds it broke. I thought to use the light on a long gun to salvage it. This new backplate with the pressure switch literally broke while installing it. Don't waste your money. I got a new backplate for the light and will be selling it asap. Serves me right...

I can not recommend these batteries. Mine arrived partially depleted on my battery tester. I believe the cause for this is the packaging. I believe the packaging caused the batteries to partially deplete. I have purchased 1,000s of batteries in my life time and none have been loose packed. None. The standard is a rigid pack which can be accomplished many ways. This purchase was my first experience with loosed packed batteries. I am an engineer, batteries are rigidly packed to prevent current paths to deplete the batteries. Loose packing batteries shifters the distances between the */- terminals and can cause rapid depletion and high heat, it is dangerous as a fire hazard. The entire issue could have been prevented by a cost of 1 cent: put one battery in a zip lock bag, insert the bag in a second zip lock bag and also insert the seconded battery in the seconded zip lock bag. The inner zip lock bag prevents electrical current passage which prevents battery depletion. My batteries arrived with visible humidity inside the zip lock bag. Water conducts electricity. One other reviewer claimed short battery life. My review above is possibly the cause.

  • When I received the TlR-6, the laser/light component's left side button didn't work. This prevents if from shifting between the different laser & light modes. I called Streamlight's technical support and the technician walked me thru trouble shooting. We determined one of the wires to left side control button was broken off. Technician said it happens every now and then. The technician gave me an email address to request a new laser / light component. After emailing them twice, i haven't received a response. Its been over a month since my last attempt.

Unfortunately did not fit its intended purpose

  • ProTac 2AAA: I had owned the ProTac 2AA for 7 years of daily use, but lost it somewhere and it hasn’t shown up in a month so I bought a replacement. I decided to drop down in size to the 2AAA, 20 lumens on low, 150 lumens on high. I prefer the Low-High program. I’ll tell you what this little light surprised me. I find low is perfect for most tasks, high is needed for better reach. The throw is only good to about 50 yrds. I can shine my barn at 100 yrds away but can see minimal details. But for work I’m not shining stuff more than 20-30 feet usually, most is within 5ft. I would call this a fantastic inspection light, stuff about 10-15ft away like equipment lights up great. That’s all I need it for so it’s my EDC. Much more comfortable to carry in shirt pocket compared to 2AA. I bought the 2AAA and Thrunite ti4 at the same time, I expected to love the ti4 and have the 2AAA as my back up. I ordered the natural white (vs cool white). I hated the light so much I’m returning it and it’s first time I have ever returned anything from streamlightoutlet.com. The natural white on the ti4 was way too amber, wood looked yellow, drywall looked like a heavy smoker lived there, I couldn’t do it. I wanted to exchange it for the cool white but can’t do that, I have to return the one and buy another. I like the 2AAA so much I ordered a 3AAA Dualie from Streamlight instead to have around the house. I don’t like firefly mode, too dim. Didn’t care for having to click twice for low and 3 to get high. High is brighter than the 2AAA but was more of a flood, I thought I would prefer that which I didn’t really. The run times on the ti4 were a good bit shorter also. I get free batteries but don’t want to carry extra batteries with the light lol. I liked the ti4 clicker a bit better than the 2AAA’s clicker which I found to be pretty stiff. All in all the ti4 is going back and 2AAA will stay for a very long time. I still expect my 2AA to show back up but I think it’s the 150 lumens version, they have upgraded it since to 250 lumens and 18 lumens low will run over 40 hours. 2AAA low is 15 hours. The 3AA dually is 175 lumens and will run 15 hours on high! I had my eye on the LED Survivor but I’m not trying to horde lights here lol. I have other 2AA lights I don’t use one is EagleTac and bushnell. Both good lights just not EDC for me. I’m not a Prepper but when I found lithium ion batteries have a shelf life of 20 years I ordered 48 energizer ultra lithium batteries and a 500 S&W ammo case to keep them in. $65 investment that has a shelf life of 20 years, when I need AA batteries for lights I’ll have them now since all but one light runs off AA’s. I have done that purposely over the years so I don’t have to buy 15 types of batteries.
